20x face value is what I’ve been seeing lately for constitutional silver too. So $100 for $5 in silver dimes is pretty normal. Not a bad deal though. Wish it was more like 16x or 17x face lately since spot is so low.

@@silverninja481 my closest local coin shop is Waretown Coin & Stamp. They have a great selection and very fair prices. Small shop but carry quite a bit of bullion, numismatics and junk silver.

Interesting finds! I am new to collecting and really like the Mexican coins. Going to spend some time in Mexico. Any advice on figuring out a fair price for some of their silver and gold coins? New BU and some of the older ones. Plan to look at some coinshops while down there. Should I bring calipers and a scale?

I’m not sure how they price their own minted coins down in Mexico, but in the states I try not to pay much over melt value for any Mexican silver or gold. But when it comes to modern silver bullion from Mexico, Libertads, anything under $30 an ounce is a decent price I think. It’s always good to have some tools to test the coins to make sure they are real.
