This is one of the missing things in Excel I've had for SO long - so many clients keep monthly / weekly spreadsheets for things - and then expect to be able to get reports across a date-range - but - that is not possible - not until you do THIS to the spreadsheets - and the BEST part is - as they get updated - the Consolidating Spreadsheet can be updated - WOW - this blows me away - I know I should have found this YEARS AGO - just always went to an "actual" database - and had them import all of the individual sheets into database tables, and then took care of the reports - BUT - any updates to sheets - would NOT make it to the imported database tables - unless you deleted / re-imported the updated sheet(s) - which could get very cumbersome...anyway - THANK YOU - so amazing!

Great video. Is there a way to allow formatting to persist in the query? For example I have a date column just like your example however in the source file some of the date entries are highlighted in Yellow or another color to indicate the date is being vetted or is a placeholder and not confirmed. Is there a way to have that highlighted color persist in the query?

I know I am late to the game but I just used this to help me track games that I want to play on XBox. I was able to make a spreadsheet for GamePass games and when they released so I have an estimate on which games will stay on GamePass and I have time to shelf while I am working on completing other games.
