@@tcmx712 Do you even research what you type, or just copy what other ill-informed people have told you? ( www.pacificford.co.nz/Page/103/ranger-raptor ) Scroll down from the top of this link and see the dyno sheet Ford themselves have put comparing the 3.2L turbo vs the 2.0L bi-turbo. Show me exactly where at half throttle the 3.2L makes more power and torque. 99% of the entire rev range the 2.0L has it beat from low end to top end. That all being said, I still prefer the idea of a de-tuned 3.2L producing equivalent power than a highly tuned 2.0L engine. I have a 2016 3.2L Ranger XLT and trading it in in a few weeks for a new 2019 XLT where I have the option of either engine. test drove the 2.0L and thought it was remarkable and the 10speed is freaking out of this world. But i still settled on the 3.2L for the reasons stated above. if they put the 10 speed in the 3.2L I would be happier though Point being, don't bash something without being able to back it up with facts or at the very least without having tested it yourself. The 2.0L has marginally noticeable more power when actually driving. The Ranger Raptor which weighs more than the Ranger would actually be slower due to the weight.

@@countdracool1348 I don't understand why ford don't do a true rhd conversion of the f150 raptor. Yeah it's a big truck, but only with the width, look at vans and coaches, particularly in europe, they seem to do fairly well even on smaller roads. Having driven one of these for a couple of hours in southern italy, where the roads would be trails in other countries, i had no issues whatsoever with driving, and even parking. You just need to get used to the size, once that's done with, the rest is a breeze. And that rear leg room, for longer trips it's a blessing. Ford could make a killing selling rhd f150 raptors, as all truck guys outside the US would be lining up to buy them (at a reasonable price, not the £100,000 import companies are asking for). Unfortunately it has a major drawback. It has a coil sprung rear axle. The issue with that is that it comes with a reduced payload as I understand it. Much lower than the one ton that qualifies it, in many areas, as a commercial vehicle with all the tax benefits that brings to the self employed and VAT registered businesses. That adds 20% to a normal Ranger's price straight away and prevents it from having 100% tax relief and adds a whole lot to a driver's 'benefit in kind' taxation. Nissan Navara and Mercedes X [same vehicle in four cylinder guise] also have coils at the rear but maintain a ton payload and a stiffer unladen ride in order to qualify as commercial vehicles.

Doesn't have push button, forward collision braking, or even electric seats. It's a joke for the 49k they are charging

This vehicle as all the new Rangers from 2011 till now were designed and engineered in AUSTRALIA NOT the USA. Ford Australia and Ford South Africa did all the work. Ford USA didn't want the Ranger as they thought that it would take sales away from the F150. So Ranger was designed for the world market excluding the USA. The Raptor is purely a special fast off road Ute,pickup or truck it's not designed as a heavy load vehicle hence the rear coils. The 2.2 l8tr engine is design to try and meet Euro 6 emission rules.

These whinnies haven't drive the real off-roads. The 28 miles trip may take more than 2 weeks or the car may have to stay at the same spot for the monsoon to pass. The place was marked with bamboos with flags to make sure we can find where we left it and to prevent elephants or others drive over the car.. Then dig it back out before the muddy field is 100% solid. If the off-road drivers think they are so good, I will be happy to challenge them to drive on these roads. Morocco roads are like paved with silk though.

First of all, it's not a car but a pick-up truck and lastly, it was made for those who can't afford the original and the great F-150 Raptor.

Or need a smaller version of the f-150 raptor

wagsbro 44 “Cheaper version” and of course,, to increase Ford’s sales and profits...

wagsbro 44 Besides, if Ford make a smaller version of the F150 Raptor, Ford should have used the Explorer’s platform rather than using that non-U.S. made platform..
@dodo199235 жыл бұрын
@@multicons An exact carbon copy of an f150 raptor just with the size dimensions of a ranger would be sweet. There's something about the squarish shape of the body that makes it what it is. Or even just a true rhd f150 raptor from the showroom would be ample. I'm sure people would line up to buy them. There are companies that convert them but i'm dubious as to the quality of lhd to rhd.

@NoOne564885 жыл бұрын
For the price you would pay for this the Raptor is overpriced. Interior is poor, steering wheel doesn't extend, poor leg room for the driver, poor engine performance. It's just a Ranger with different suspension.
@powderskier55475 жыл бұрын
Really? You have owned one? You have driven one for more than 2 minutes? You can tell me where you have seen better interior in a 4 x4? Leg Room? Im 6.2 and I have plenty of space, thats why I bought the bloody thing

They are a pile of junk and with the 20 l engine they are just laughable. Buy a 3.0 l Toyota hilux for about two thirds of the price of the raptor and you will be the one laughing at the Ford. All the farming community here in ireland drive Toyota and to a lesser extent mitsubish.
