The meeting was such an insult to the talent due to Dixie’s delivery Hogan and Bischoff were definitely a low point for TNA And AJ said the same thing that there was ZERO promotion. And many have said it before, if Hogan and Co hadn’t come in, the home grown talent might have been able to be paid more
@bb-gc2tx Жыл бұрын
why do you smarks care so much about people you dont know positions at their jobs and how much they get paid???🤣🤣 but what about the young talent????🤣 who cares i dont know any of those people and could care less about them. its like going to a movie and complaining that al pacino got more screen time than a younger actor. i think smarks complain about dumb stuff like that because it makes them feel like they are part of the business and they think it justifies their undeserved self appointed so called expertise 🤣🤣

When he came back to WWE the very first thing they did was dedicate an entire Raw to him because it was his birthday. So I was convinced that he went to TNA to kill it from the inside and then Vince brought him back.
@cchisolm92cc Жыл бұрын
Exactly. Same thing Russo did to WCW
@joefurious732 Жыл бұрын
@@cchisolm92cc except for Russo not doing it on purpose. He is just incredibly shit at his job. Vince Russo always thought that shooting is the only way to go and everything has to be "real" and actual storylines do not matter. The more personal the better. Shoot, shoot, shoot. Paul Heyman said one time, when taking about his shoot promo during the Invasion-angle: "(...) keep in mind the fact, that shooting in of itself is very Vince Russo. It does not work. None here wants to just hear me shoot. I can shoot all night long and you sit there and go 'eh, this, what the, who gives a shit' but if I can turn that shoot into storyline context and then manipulate what you are listening to into making you wanna buy a ticket to where I take that shoot and I make you, lets say, 'You know he did make wrestling a dirty word! You know what, he did make Superstars when I wanna see Wrestlers. He did do... F-FUCK HIM man! I'm gonna buy that PPV because I wanna see those guys win!' Now that shoot draws money" And that is right on target and the reasons why Vince Russo is absolute dogshit at what he does. Russo never gave a crap about that and showed tremendous strength in resisting any way of learning out of his mistakes. That is why he takened WCW, he never, ever did it on purpose. Which is the sad part about it, given and how efficiently he destroyed that show. Hogan on the other hand... well, he was there (after confirming with Vince McMahon) to drain that enterprise of every last penny they had and getting as much of it into his own pocket. McMahon was happy a competitor was going belly up soon, and Hogan could line is pockets in the process. McMahon 100% knew beforehand that Terry would go to TNA and he sure as shit knew that it would not be a threat to him, in fact Hogan was doing him a major favor. It is fair to say, that TNA, got a lot of other factors that might it eventually go down the river and hight my a anti-tank-missle in the process, Vince Russo ironically being one of them. But yes, to circle back to what I was originally saying. Hulk helped tank the company in a big way and McMahon surely knew of it in advance. Vince Russo tanked WCW, but he was not sent there to do the deed, he is just Vince Russo, the lowest form of life in the universe that still manages to breath on it's on.

It should be noted that Spike TV was paying Hogan's bills, not TNA. Same goes for Angle, Sting, and various other top guys. They weren't affecting TNA's payroll, in fact they were helping it via not taking any money out of the owner's pockets while at the same time bringing in TV sponsorships and toy deals. The problem is that Dixie Carter and her parents had zero intention of investing any money into the company, and were creatively bankrupt. Hogan and other talents weren't bleeding the payroll. The Carter's just didn't care about paying people.

KONG is and was always amazing. Hogan and Bischoff got into the TNA and ruined it. Once they got rid of the 6 sided ring and just kept bringing in all the guys who should have stayed retired and gone, and overpaying themselves, but not he up and coming talent who actually built up TNA to be what it was, that was the writing on the wall. Jarrett left. Created Global whatever. Then once Hogan and Dixie and everyone was gone, he comes back and merges his failed wrestling company back into TNA and we get stuck with IMPACT. Which it still should be called Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and STILL have the 6 sided ring.

@jeffnettleton3858 Жыл бұрын
Hogan was always a carny, out for number one. I don't necessarily blame him for that, as you had to look after your own interests, in the territorial era. However, he made a lot of money with Vince McMahon because Vince built this machine around him. He then used that to milk other money marks for the next few decades and Dixie was a money mark, pure and simple. Hogan was there to fleece them and promote his own brand. When he went on mainstream media platforms, he was promoting Hulk Hogan and not WCW or TNA or anyone else. That's what the marks never got. he was going to make himself money....he wasn't going to work for you. McMahon proved he could roll on without him, which is why Hogan always kept on good terms with him, as he needed Vince more than Vince needed him, after the initial run (really, after 1987).
