Hogan was the right guy at the right time from a business standpoint. However he is a terrible human being. But that's what makes you successful in this world. I have been in a lot of places and I don't know of any good people who are successful. Every liar cheater and thief that I've ever met has a ton of money. Every person that would give you the shirt off their back is homeless. That's the way the world works. If it wasn't the world would not have all these problems. We could easily solve world hunger in 24 hours and eliminate the need for money and give everyone a free education and have unlimited energy and all of these amazing things within a few short years. But nobody wants to do that they want to see people suffer
@anthonyfaucy2761

@ModernDayRenaissanceMan Exactly. You have many even gaslighting others that they want to help others yet poverty is ever increasing despite countless charities who supposedly claim they use to help the homeless and not their own bank accounts. Lets just ignore all the massive salaries and bonuses that the higher ups get working at these charities. Honestly humans in general are evil. So many have evil in their hearts.

Hogan aside, Bret's claim that he was the top draw domestically doesn't hold. If that were true, why didn't he get the title from Yokozuna after Yoko took it from Hogan? Why bother with Lex Luger at all? From what I remember the rising star was The Undertaker back in late 93 to 94 although Bret's non- title status still helped sell tickets!

The WWF was struggling due to the whole steroid scandal. However, Bret help bounce the WWF back and is one of the key figures in ushering in WWFs peak era, the attitude era. Remember, Stone Cold was mostly being a mid card heel, wrestling feuding with guys like Savio Vega and Jake the snake. Bret hand picked Austin to be HIS heel which automatically put him towards the top of the roster (watch Bret’s entrance at Survivor ‘96 if you wanna see how popular Bret was, his pop was so loud you could barely hear commentary). The DX was formed as Bret’s (hart foundation) antithesis. Mr McMahon? Also was created because of Bret. Bret was a pivotal figure in the birth of the Attitude Era which was the peak of WWF popularity.

Goes off against the Bush/Cheney neocon wars while then supporting the same candidate they endorsed just because he wants to see a woman president. The man says anything just to hear himself talk. Jesse Ventura wouldn't even be in the top 500 wrestlers of all time while Hogan if he isn't number one would be at least in the top three GOAT - the only people I could see surpassing Hogan would be Austin and Andre. If you hear Ventura talk, he acts like he was such a big deal in wrestling which he wasn't. Like Bobby Heenan once said, Hogan could care less about Ventura while Ventura thinks about Hogan all the time. Also don't tell me that you couldn't have a union without Hogan. Andre, Piper, Savage were big enough names to get one through. Like Jim Duggan said, most of the boys knew a union wouldn't work due to the fact most wrestlers didn't stay long in one company and they couldn't agree on anything half the time. Also why didn't Ventura try to get a union in when he was the champ in the Pacific Northwest territory or in the AWA?

We didn't get Bret vs Hogan because Hogan knew Bret would have embarrassed him in the ring.

Hulk is the worst but Bret is the biggest cry baby in the industry. All he ever does anymore is bitch and moan while exaggerating every story to make him look like a noble hero. He’s so cringe.

I think if we were able to sit down EVERYONE that worked with Hulk, we'd have a 2200 page document dictating how much of a lying asshole he is.

You can always tell when Bret starts lying. He'll say something that's possibly true, then follow that up with a bs detail that's completely unnecessary.

Jesus. Someone needs to tell Bret that Wrestling is fake. His low mood swing is killing his character.

Brett was so great... But he comes off as so whiney and bitter in his post career days. He seems to see himself as someone who got screwed out of being more iconic.

Um pro wrestling is a simulated fight. There is no actual wrestling taking place. The goal of pro wrestling is to draw money and sell tickets which Hogan did. Hart was a mark who was champion during the lowest point of wrestling while Hulk ushered in two of the biggest eras in pro wrestling.
