That paint job is bang on the money IMO 👍🏻 I wasn’t sure about the wheels when I first saw these teased but suit your theme perfectly. Thanks for the tip on the couple of bushings they slipped in there as no ones mentioned that before. As with the motor connections touching the body, I had the same issue with a Brushless on a Tamiya Buggyra Fat Fox (on a TT02R) tilting the motor over sorted it, it might be worth just sticking a scrap piece of Lexan inside the body as well at the contact points just so nothing rubs through. Great info and having built a Javelin & Turbo Scorpion in the past Kyosho quality out the box as you mention is definitely a step up (and handling) from Tamiya. I do still enjoy Tamiya’s as well though nonetheless 😁 Looking forward to the running vid.

Love the color scheme on your Dirt Master. 👍 You're right about the spur/pinion cover - it's completely useless when running on loose dirt. My spur is already pretty chewed up from regular use on a dirt track. 😅 Nevertheless it's a great buggy and a real performer for the price. EDIT to add: I put some tape on the underside of the chassis to stop dirt entering through the spur cutout, but it probably made it worse. Dirt entering from above stuck to the tape and subsequently appeared to get picked up by the spur. You need to make sure there is nothing for the dirt/grit to stick to.
@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Ай бұрын
I was thinking that if I covered it, would it make it worse! I feel the spur cover and hole underneath it’s really odd and a given for dirt to get in!

I love the paint job you did one it, it turned out very nice. They look a little plain on the box art so jazzing it up some with a cool paint job helps the looks of it. I am excited to get one when they land here in the US. I am sure it will run very well, all the Kyosho buggies do well! Great job on the build Adam!

Great build. I would advise against the tape under as the dirt will be trapped (depending where you run of course). It's the only area where the TT02B is better. Maybe acquire 1-2 spurs in advance. I'm not sold on the body, in term of shape, but your paint scheme is awesome 😮🤩. As for upgrade, maybe the front (and rear) universal drive shafts. I drove the ZX5 RTR, it's about the same and it's a very smooth car (but, in my opinion, with a much nicer body shape 😊). I would not bet as there are many parameters, but it should even eat a TT02BR for breakfast, especially thanks to the slipper clutch 😉 I may be wrong of course 😂 Can't wait for the run video 🌞🤝

I was thinking the same about the tape, and yeah I have some very modified TT02’s and this would eat it up in kit form

Hi Adam, I’m interested in the shelving system you have behind you. Is that a gyprock wall or concrete? I would like to do something like that on my wall at home but I’m concerned that the gyprock won’t hold the weight. I bought one to race up here in QLD in Outlaw 4wd My local club is currently making a large dirt track for vintage and Outlaw racing. Outlaw is cars made or designed between 2000-2015. Outlaw 2wd must be rear motor. It's aimed at getting the older race cars out for a bash. Since the Dirt Cross is based on the Lazer ZX5 SP, it's perfect for this class. I will adding Kyosho aluminium big bores and 3 racing aluminium hingepin holders to mine, which I am just about to start building.
