So nice to see someone use a Rubber Spatula. So annoying when people making these cooking videos leave so much of the ingredients in the bowls. Such a waste. Will definitely be making this, Thanks !

I made this pie for our family Thanksgiving, and everyone ate a piece, including those not excited about low carb/sugar, LOL! It was such a huge hit, thank you so much for this delicious recipe. The Crust was the star, of course, so much so that both my aunt and mother want to know how to make it. Thanks again. Super Yummy Dessert!!!

you can use old bread chunks to clean the inside of the grinder. pulse a bit. I also use a Q-tip to clean the edges inside the grinder.

That's great, hope you enjoy. Oh, and the ingredients are all in the video description (if that's what you meant by 'how much pumpkin'). You may have to click "show more." If you meant you need to figure out the can-to-real pumpkin ratio, please disregard :)

What are the nutrition values of just the pumpkin custard baked in ramekins? I could be wrong but there just seems to me a lot of sweetener (1 1/2 cup total) maybe I have just lost my sweet tooth somewhere, ha ha. Also at what temp should my oven be on and for how long should I cook the custard? Thank you so much.

Hi Dot. Have a question. I ordered the book you have in the video, but the recipes tells you the number of servings but not the size...example...12 servings...if it's a liquid is that a tsp., tabl...if it's casserole is it 1/4, 1/2 a cup. I'm lost!
@Dot2TrotsLowCarbLiving7 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean. It is frustrating. If i'm not sure on a dish, I actually weight the pot or pan the dish is going in. Once all of the food is in it, I subtract the weight of the dish from the food. From there I can figure out ounces, grams or cups per serving. A lot of work, but it does work. For liquids I use a large measuring cup. For example, if a recipe serves 2, I'd use a measuring cup to determine how much you have. If you have 2 cups you know it is a cup per serving. When it comes to something like a casserole I eyeball it by using a knife and cutting it into the number of servings. If it's in a pot, then I use a measuring spoon that holds 1/4, 1/2 or 1 cup and eyeball it. Wish I had a better solution. It is frustrating but measuring calories/carbs/protein/fat isn't exact. Some people just eat until they are full. I am not one of those. I trust myself in a bakery. I do not trust myself to always stop eating if I'm full. Hope this helps a little.

hi dot,going to make this very soon but i have a ?. how much pumpkin spice do i use. i think it will be 1tbsp but not sure.....by the way great video's really appreciate you recipes.
@Dot2TrotsLowCarbLiving7 жыл бұрын
I'd say a tablespoon. Just keep in mind that the 1 tablespoon equals 4 carbs total. Good luck.

I love the custard idea! At what temperature and length of time should I bake them? Many thanks - can’t wait to try both the custard and the pie (thanksgiving can’t come soon enough!). 😊
@Dot2TrotsLowCarbLiving6 жыл бұрын
If you do it as a custard in a pie pan, I'd preheat oven to 375. Bake for 10 minutes then lower temp to 350 and bake for about 30 minutes or until a knife stuck in the center comes out clean.

You are so good to answer our questions, Dot! I am positively impressed with everything about you and I admire you greatly. I’ve been searching for a really good keto custard recipe and this one will be perfect for the upcoming holiday season. The pie looks amazing, too. I bought a big, beautiful pie plate ‘cause all I had was a shallow 9” one, so now there’s no excuse not to make a beautiful keto friendly pumpkin pie. Thanks a million! You’re the best ever!

HEY, I DO NOT USE SUGAR OR SUGAR SUBSTITUTE. I USE STEVIA AND ITS ABOUT 4 TO 5 TBSP. ARE EQUAL TO A CUP OF SUGAR. OR IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE SCOOPS YOU USED FOR LEMONADE MIX PLUS, 1 TBSP. FOR ONE CUP OF SUGAR...
@Dot2TrotsLowCarbLiving6 жыл бұрын
Good info. Stevia is so much sweeter than sugar. A little goes a very long way!
