Super-cool. Thank you for figuring out the best way to do things like this, and then showing it to us in a straightforward way.

I appreciate that the exhaust was moved from the bottom to the side, and the addition of the legs. Will make permanent installations easier. Good looking unit.

Yes it’s a change I appreciated as well. It seems like a unit easier to transport.

I am using a Vevor diesel heater to keep my camper warm right now in Alaska winter. Extra insulation of course, but right now it is 11f degrees and it is using two bars on the wall controller, so it is on low. Super warm, super reliable, just bought two more. I didn't know about about the new ones coming with an DC to AC conversion, I did it myself, or I would have gotten this model instead.

Ok I have to say a 3” aluminum stack over the exhaust would allow you to run it out under the tent side and keep everything inside out of the bad weather 😂.

Yes that is true. It would actually be the most efficient use of it. Thanks for the comment👍

Speak for yourself pal. I like to fire my diesel heater up while I am lying in bed through Bluetooth to heat up my small shop. Did you type this comment on a rotary phone?

I bought 2 generics last year for $150. Only problem i had was someone switched my power switch from 120 to 240 on my power inverter. It put to much drag in the volts. Not having to buy the inverter is definitely a nice option. But i swapped out the fuel tank to a 30 Gallon drum . It's in my shop so not having to do a bunch of set up every time i want to use it.

If you let any of these just idle along for extended time frames after they reach the desired temperature they will soot up and you won’t be happy. You gotta give them the onion for a while.

How are the noise level of these heaters? Loud enough to bother next camp sites? Also is the unit itself water proof? Especially by the electrical plug section?
@Woodswalker19653 күн бұрын
It isn’t really any louder than a propane heater from any RV so I would say it is campsite friendly. I would not go as far to say that it is waterproof. You can put the unit inside your tent and just exhaust outside your tent actually. They are safe to use this way. This would keep it out of the rain and snow. Alternatively you could just set up a small tarp outside and it would be fine. Thanks for watching !
@JarloNikkaКүн бұрын
I have a question! If you have the heater outside, how does it feel the temperature inside? I saw at the app you could set temperature.
@Woodswalker196523 сағат бұрын
Great question! You would need to have the unit inside and only the exhaust going out of the tent for the thermostat to work. It is safe and it’s actually designed for indoor use as long as you exhaust to outdoors.
@chado_outdoors3 күн бұрын
I have an all-in-one like your original one. I wanted to upgrade so I could have the Bluetooth control, but then I found out I can just change the controller and keep going for 1/5th the price.

Wondering if the difference in $$$ is worth the few extra options, and if one heater provides more BTU's? Are these units intended to stay out in inclement weather?
@Woodswalker19653 күн бұрын
Same BTUs just a different controller and an option as far as the powers supply goes. Option of a thermostat too if that matters to you. I wouldn’t leave it out in the heavy rain but it’s fairly easy to rig up a quick tarp to cover it up.

Is it waterproof being outside
@Woodswalker196513 сағат бұрын
It’s not waterproof but it can be placed inside as long as the exhaust is outside. A simple tarp over the unit when it’s raining would work as well. Thanks for watching.

You need to get one of them quite fuel pump
@unclebill5170Күн бұрын

@Woodswalker196523 сағат бұрын
Good to know, thank you!
@liveoak783813 сағат бұрын
they make nearly silent fuel pumps now, Vevor needs to get a clue.
@research9032 күн бұрын
That pump is NOT "ticking". It's KNOCKING like an engine with a bad rod bearing... Why can't they use a centrifugal pump?
@Woodswalker1965Күн бұрын
I would say it’s not much louder than my forced air propane heater in my RV. I will admit it does tick but it quickly fades into the background for me. If you want to spend a LOT more money you can get a quiet diesel heater but these are usually more than $1K.
@TheMajictechКүн бұрын
The tic is one injection of fuel. No way possible to just use a centrifugal pump. If you did then you’d still have to have an injector to control the injection rate. Same tick now using 2 components = more possible failure points and more power consumption. The expensive German ones use the same type fuel pump these do.
@johnfrog2812Күн бұрын
You need a high pressure pulse to force a set quantity of fuel through a fine mesh screen to produce a mist of fuel which has a high surface area and so burns very rapidly and completely.
@tombryant451815 сағат бұрын
Need a high pressure pump, centrifugal pumps aren’t high pressure pumps.

I have a question for you. I also collaborate with Vevor and they recently sent me one of these heaters. I found the app was able to connect quickly, but after my phone sat for a while and disconnected, or if I closed the app for a while, the app will refuse to connect. I found the only way to reconnect is to power the heater off with the remote or at the heater. As soon as it is powered off it will reconnect to the app. Vevor was not able to give me an answer as to if this is a known issue or a defect in my heater.
@Woodswalker19652 күн бұрын

@@Woodswalker1965 An interesting new development. I got a response back from Vevor's "quality department". They say: "The program is set to cause the problem you described to occur after 2 minutes of no operation. This is a software logic problem. The advantage is that multiple people can connect quickly. We asked the manufacturer to optimize the program and change it to the same mode as Bluetooth headsets. A version of the APP will be upgraded. Please pay attention to the upgraded version of the APP later." This seems to indicate that it is in fact an issue with the controller programming.
