beautiful woodsong, taptap tap, and the clink of dry solid hardwood, so peaceful, like a woodpecker, like being in a forest. quiet skill, delicious! if you've never been in a woodshop, or heard the rhythms and sounds of an expert or pro, you literally have no aural template for the specific sounds made by the exact pressure and velocity of tools and work necessary to shape wood by hand this well. big thanks for this! that human is using his body, pieces of wood as handles and hammers, and a small handful of metal, shaped into simple tools, which require nothing further for function. sure, it can be done in a jiff with 1000's of moneyworth of big, noisy, resource gulping machines, but really: is the world a better place for mostly that way? is life? for all of us on the planet, mind - the greenlife, the creaturekind, and the nature elements of earth - not just ease seeking humans? 👀🤔hm. not. that dude is using his body and time and minimal earth resources, used respectfully, and he is shaping beauty and function through skill, attained over time. taptap, tap. a much more sensible, caring, simpler way of life, using minimal earth elements changed little, with few toxic processes, and much more rewarding, personally, in so many aspects of experience: health, strength, creative expression, skill, earth connection, fun, enjoyment, fulfillment and more😃👍 anyone can flick a switch and switch off to the true cost of that easiflic way of life. i'd rather have this, connected.

In this assembly, I can see that the four aprons have to be assembled at the same time ever so gradually so and then the whole assembly is mounted upside down with one leg put in place at a time or four men on each leg installing them, but I have seen others not so clear as in final assembly.

Awesome workmanship again. Interlocking joints are definitely a lost art these days. Nails, glue, and wood screws are now the norm. Too bad there aren't more carpenters like you around. Nicely done sir very nicely done indeed.

Once again, a beautiful display of masterful workmanship of chisel work as well as the design of joinery But in all of these examples of leg and apron assemblies for a table or cabinet of some kind. My question here is: How do you get the last piece in place without having to rack the whole assembly? Is there another joint difference to allow the final member to be set in place?

Hi Mr. Carpenter. H? In some magazine I once saw where someone as talented as yourself created a joint between a table leg and 2 aprons with the aprons finger jointing together inside of the leg and then, into the end grain of the fingers, was carved letters which, when assembled, protruded through letter shaped mortices in the outside of the table leg spelling words or names when viewed from outside. Did i explain that well enough? Could you do that? I mean, I know you could do that. Would you? You have done so many different joints, if you are running out of ideas for more, that would be my request. Thanks
