The guy is a genius! I'm amazed how he saws the joints to near his marks, the paring them to fit with what must be very sharp chisels -- not even a rebate plane or similar. I wish that I was 1/2 as good!!

If I mistake not,this is Chinese Ming dynasty style. You did a great job with simple tools.I noticed you sawed along the line but always gave some space to cut with a chisel for a higher accuracy. I learned a lot, thank you, master!

Excellent skills. Mating surfaces so flat n straight just using a few basic tools. I know how difficult it is because i struggle with that often

You put the tenon below the center line. You could also have put it above the center line. Do you choose which to use depending upon how the load will be applied? Or, is it always built like this, below the center line? Thank you for sharing this with us.

Is there a purpose to attaching/removing it several times before finishing it off. Don't get me wrong, very satisfying to watching all the gaps perfectly disappear, just wondering if there was a purpose.
