Awesome Ultra Rare SONY EV-S2000 Hi8 VCR

I decided to buy myself a cool item that I have always wanted, a Video Hi8 VCR, and particularly, the SONY EV-S2000. A high end top of the line VCR from 1992. I bought it refurbished from a known eBay seller, Doctor Sony.

Admiring your collection. Sony never made VHS mech. Its sharp or Hitachi.

Wrong. They made VHS mechanisms in the early VHS VCRs they produced.

Can you show us the quality of Hi8 when you record directly into it using this VCR? Interested to see how plugging in a source like a DVD player or computer (D-A converted) looks on Hi8. Most of the footage of Hi8 I've seen is straight from a camcorder, which has its own limitations with sensors/optics, etc.
