Lol. People talk about the diaphragm. Personally I think she uses her whole body...from her tiny toes to the hair on her head.

Had the privilege of being a producer of a TV special concert with Martina McBride as a preview for Super Bowl 31 in New Orleans in 1997, only a few weeks after she released this song... The entire audience in the theatre - and I'm sure anyone watching at home - was moved to tears by this song... To see her "live" and to hit these notes was one of the most incredible things I have ever personally witnessed (and I've worked 38 straight Super Bowls, which has included Phil Collins, Prince and The Who)...

If you guys like vocal range, you have to check out Rachelle Ferrell, “‘Til You Come Back To Me”. She also does the female vocals on George Duke’s “No Rhyme, No Reason”. There is also an example of her vocal range on that song. Her range is incomparable! She also plays the keyboard unbelievably, she is the total package! She may just take the to female vocalist spot! She has so much more to share with us.

Martina is and was the inspiration behind Carrie Underwood who may well have the best voice on planet Earth with solid 5 octave range. rarely do you see that. I'm a sound engineer so I know what we can do to make a singer sound way better in post production but Carrie does it LIVE.. along with CeCe Winans there is no one better in worship music.
