Martina can sing them all under the table I mean this woman’s voice is so powerful It’s crazy how long she can hold her notes and sound so good She has the most beautiful blue eyes on a woman I have ever seen She is so beautiful and beautiful voice I love Martina’s vocals

I really love when she sang it with Pat Benatar on an episode of CMT Crossroads. Pat absolutely killed the chorus!

She sounds even more amazing live. I’ve seen her in concert 3 times. Anyway, Independence Day, Concrete Angel, How Far, Where Would You Be, Love You Through It, God’s Will and too many more to list. Martina is one of the best female voices we have ever had in country music IMO!!!

I don't view this song as sad. the way I see it, it is empowering as she is one of the few that had the strength to get out. Most often, it is easier said than done. Amazing vocals and storytelling!

Like I've said to every reaction to this video. I almost died in 2001, and I remember hearing the angels singing, and that last note she hits reminds me of how they sounded.

If you havent yet, as I am new to your channel, you should check out Concrete Angel by her. That song gets me everytime and I have seen the video dozens of times. Also, if you didnt know, she did that sad animal song from that popular advertisement during the early 2000s when I was a kid

I saw her with Blake Shelton, supported by Luke Bryan before he became a household name, at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. The sound wasn't great, but her voice was still amazing.

You should really try some of Martina's Live performances. One great one is "where would you be" at CMT Flameworthy.
@jodyhouser64375 ай бұрын
This isn't a song about a "Patriarchal Society". This is about an unhealthy relationship, that may even border on verbal abuse. It's about the partner (in this case the woman singing) finding her wings to leave.

I just watched your reaction to "Stay." Rich has good taste! LOL. Martina was never afraid to take on tough topics. You need to experience, "Concrete Angel." kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaWxinRqpaZ6oKssi=9c3aqsaO6KGZWpAU And here she is live showing off freakin' INCREDIBLE vocals in, "Where Would You Be" at the CMT Flameworthy Awards in 2002. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWSkmZ18mJ10n6csi=O_4CWsqlwpYewh1d

She does a lot for causes...women abused (this song), and "Concrete Angle", child abuse. Martina has the pipes Reba only wished she had...but Reba packaged well for the masses, crossover hope after Garth until Shenia came along, smh. Shenia and Garth ruined what real country was...took it crossover, all record producers signed after them...digging gold from 2 genres, country AND pop, instead of just country, smh...why the pseudo pop-country now (w/the exception of Tyler Childers). LOVE Martina.
