13 year old barefoot child re-imagines an iconic song and has the ability to deliver it with such an extraordinary voice on the worlds biggest stage with grace, humility and poise is such an achievement that it is nearly a miracle. You hang on to every note with anticipation of what is to come next. I've always had this as the greatest rock song of all time, a masterpiece , by Freddy Mercury. And 45 years later a young new artiste has delivered another masterpiece. You have experienced the "Angelina Effect" and you will fortunately get to experience it again and again. After listening to all of Angelina's songs over the past year I finally made a decision that my personal favorite is her 10 year old performance of "I'M STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU". It is a song that she demoed for but was never released in 2016 at 10 years old and discovered by someone who uploaded it on YT in 2018 which is why it says "LEAKED" on the cover. Lots of rumors surround this song but the bottom line is it probably would have been a huge hit had it been released. Highly recommend this for a performance that is otherworldly for a 10 year old. Thank you Samantha. Cheers from Florida
@krissysteel13 жыл бұрын
The reason Angeli as version of "I'm still holding out for you" wasn't released was that the lyrics to the song was to dark for a 10 year old trying to spread love, to sing. Angelina has also said that she will never sing that son again. It solvent suit her general message. The songwriters fond it hard to find another to sing the song after Angelina sang it. I like the final version of the song. But Angelinad version is, naturally, in a whole other league. I love her versions of the Lana Del Ray songs she does. "Young and beautiful" and "born to die", not to forget John Legends song "all of me". She showceses her vice beautifully in all those songs.

Angelina started learning English at school age four. She already knew some through songs and trips to America. By five she was becoming fluent. By six she was reading English. By five she was speaking Norwegian, Persian and English with Swedish and some Japanese. You are not only watching a musical genius but a genius in many other areas.

Foreign Languages Spoken In Norway Norway is one of the top 5 nations in the EF English Proficiency Index. Nearly 90% of the population of the country can speak English. English is also the most widely taught foreign language in the schools of the country. Most people of the country, especially those born after World War II, speak English fluently. Other popular foreign languages spoken in the country are German, Spanish, and French. These languages are taught as second or third languages in the country’s schools. Some schools in the country, mostly in the cities, offer classes in Russian, Latin, Japanese, Italian, and Chinese.

Angelina has a unique ability to connect with listeners immediately and powerfully. Bohemian Rhapsody is a masterpiece on many levels, and it shows you in a couple minutes why Angelina has a fiercely devoted fan base. You’ve watched three performances that are bluesy/jazzy-and she is off-the-charts good. You haven’t seen that she covers other genres in ways that will make you cry again, feel happy, feel empowered, and sometimes just watch and listen to the same song over and over again. Everything Angelina sings you will remember as hers. For a different side of Angelina, try her own composition of Seventh Heaven, an upbeat jazz piece with infectious rhythm and a powerfully positive message. For sheer vocal beauty, her cover of Elton John’s “Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road” shows that she is not like anyone else you’ve ever heard. But I have to admit that the release (this week) of her version of Billie Jean has amazed me. Even though we think we know what Angelina can do, she continually surprises and stuns us with her musicality and that unique, incredible voice. Don’t worry about hearing songs in some sequence or by genre. Just start listening to the best singer you’ve ever heard.

Masterpiece!? Really. It is tosh compared to... for instance "Like a rolling stone", "Gimme shelter", "Tomorrow never knows", "Love will tear us apart", "Just like heaven" to name just a few. Even the queen members admitted that they took a bunch of their half completed scraps and strung them together as a novelty album closer. AJ extracted the most familiar bit and smartly reworked it, then added her qenuine emotional vocal (as opposed to the FM naff histrionic vocal) and created a showcase for herself.

Very, very much enjoyed your reaction. "Such sweet sorrow," to steal a line from Shakespeare. This performance was my introduction to Angelina. I too, was utterly smitten and have been following Angelina's star (or is that Astar) ever since. You cannot listen to Angelina or an Angelina performance for the first time, twice. I think what attracts me to reactions of her performances is reliving that initial experience vicariously through the reactions of others. It's just typical of how people respond when they see something extraordinary. They want to share the experience with all the people they know. Maybe, that makes us friends, now, having shared this experience. I cannot speak for others, but my guess is that most viewers of reaction videos share this same motivation. Maybe, replies to this comment will bear that out. There are many options for your next reaction. And fortunately, there are no bad choices. The three Angelina videos that you have reacted to are among her most popular. All three have gone viral. But, there's much more to Angelina than you have yet seen. I suggest exploring that variety to obtain a more complete picture of the singer, Angelina Jordan. One performance (I'm sure not the only one) that I can think of that fits that bill for a next reaction is Angelina's take of Rihanna's performance of the song, "Stay." Couldn't agree more with the 'vicariously through' sentiment, I am definitely in that bracket, though I do sometimes wonder if it's a bit odd that I enjoy watching someone emotionally 'lose it'. I've seen this performance dozens of times...and I tear up and get chills every time. You will, too. This is a level of greatness that is very rare. She is 13 and in total control of every person in that theater. It was an international competition that pitted the best against the best (including Spain's own -- Cristina Ramos.) An ordinary person would suffer a nervous breakdown under that kind of pressure. Angelina walks out to stage center, smiles to thousands of people in her audience and proceeds to sing an unimaginable version of one of the greatest songs of all time...and (as you observed) she begins with 15 seconds of a cappella that is perfectly in pitch. She doesn't rush. She doesn't resort to vocal gymnastics. She uses the simplest of acoustical instrumentation possible. She finishes to a HUGE standing ovation. Three judges give her the highest compliments they can, the forth judge hits the Golden Buzzer, and the audience goes wild. You will tear up and get chills every time you watch this. Next stop: "Yellow Brick Road."

Samantha, a little fictious story for smiles, Angelina is dreaming. She walks through LA and enters a Jazz club, Freddie sits at the piano and smiles at her. Hello Deary, he says, you are thinking about AGT and what to sing. Why dont you try my "Bohemian Rhapsodie". AJ answers: It´s a big song and I have only a little bit of time. Freddie laughs and answers: So shorten it to the quintessentials. A African-American lady turns to her, smiles and says: Sweety, jazz it up, and concentrate on what the song means. Freddie grins and says: Angelina listen to your idol, Billie Holliday is right. You know, change my song however you want, but don´t be boring. Angelina stares at her idol and than at Freddie. Thank you very much, for helping me out, but which part of your song.... and Freddie starts to play the piano. Stay safe and sound. German greetings

We who have seen and heard Angelina for a while know very well the reaction you had. Many, perhaps most, have cried, and you should not be surprised if upon hearing that particular performance again, you cry again! Further, part of the wonder of Angelina's performing is that deep emotions and often crying simply overflow in the person who is experiencing her performances. Nor is this reaction limited to the performances you've heard already, so you too might find yourself again crying when you listen to some of her other 130+ performance videos! Some of us think of listening and having our feelings overflow as a kind of healing, a release, and more than a few, like me, find ourselves creating a few moments most days of the week to listen to one of her performances. Her name is also rather amazing -- Angelina. Somehow beatific, and her full name, her surname, is Astar, a star. You won't be the only one thinking that these little nudges -- coincidences? -- may have helped her decide to do with her childhood and teen years what she has done. I recall you saying that you lost your Nana sometime recently, someone to whom you felt very close. Angelina lost her grandpa a couple years ago and composed a song soon after his death that she said was for anyone who had lost someone they were close to; it's called Million Miles. You might consider doing a reaction video to that performance; many think the formal version is especially good, but the other one also is special. Thank you for your reaction videos of AJ.

Even though this aired on Jan 6, 2020, it was prerecorded in Oct 2019, so it's almost 2 years old. You need to see the current day Angelina. Her latest release from 2 weeks ago was her total re-interpretation of Michael Jackson's iconic song Billie Jean. She changed it into her JazzyPop style & it is a masterpiece, IMO, as well as my newest #1 song by her. BTW, whoever told you Angelina couldn't speak English at 7 for her NGT audition of Gloomy Sunday, was wrong. She was quite fluent at 5 in a video where she showed us around her house.

@@xartisan576 I think the five years old time frame is more likely - the clues are that later in the video Angelina mentions her sister Juliette when discussing the clothes closet and you can hear a baby making noise in the background - Juliette is about 5 years younger than Angelina.
@DonaldLancon3 жыл бұрын
@@robertsilva631 Juliette was apparently born on or around 2012-03-05 (month and day based on remarks from two different YT commenters in March of this year - unfortunately, I haven't yet seen the source of the info - and the year based on the fact that Juliette was described as being "2½" in an interview on Christmas Day 2014). So, if Angelina was 5 in the video we're talking about, as the title claims, then Sara was still pregnant (which is entirely possible - it's clear that Angelina is discussing clothes that will be "handed down" to Juliette when she's older, since none of them seem to be outfits for young infants, so they could have been discussing clothes reserved for her already named but not yet born sister). Just as likely, though (and probably more likely, actually), is that the age in the video title is simply wrong, and Angelina was actually 6. After all, many videos on her Fanclub Mosarz channel that were clearly recorded after February/March 2014 (based on her teeth) list her age as 7 (and in one case lists the year as 2013, instead of giving her age). In addition, some Mosarz videos of her early studio work claim she's 6, whereas very similar videos were posted to Hanne Tinderholt's channel back in June 2013, including one that gives her age as 7 and contains the very same footage seen in a Mosarz video [the one where she's recording vocals for "Someone Like You"]. Whoever was actually uploading the Mosarz videos and giving them titles was apparently very confused about Angelina's age in 2013 and 2014. (The remaining possibility, that Angelina really _was_ still 7 after Feb/Mar 2014, 6 in spring/summer 2013, and 5 when Juliette was born, is just too unlikely to consider, IMO.) Now, as for the idea that her grandmother, Mery, is filming, I say no to that. It can't be Mery behind the camera, because she asks at one point in very broken English which doll was her mother's from Japan. ("Which one for mom? Japanese?" [or the word "for" might have been "from"]) If it were Mery, she would have known which doll was from Japan. I'm guessing that it might be her _father's_ mother behind the camera (or perhaps an aunt on her father's side of the family), because when she suddenly turns and walks out of the room (apparently triggered emotionally by the stuffed animal[s] Angelina was discussing - perhaps she had just lost a pet?), you can see very briefly an old man sitting on a couch on the ground floor, who just _might_ be Angelina's paternal grandfather (the one who died in March 2018). If her father's side of the family was visiting, that could explain both the reason for Angelina's "room tour" and the noises in the background throughout the video, which seem to be from multiple adults and at least one young child (not necessaily a baby Juliette). A lot of assumptions, I admit. But it's possible. [grin]
@robertsilva6313 жыл бұрын
@@DonaldLancon Interesting possibilities :) - supposedly the Mosarz KZbin channel belongs to Angelina's Grandmother Mery - if that is actually the case, the ages listed there should be correct. I guess we may never know for sure and we should just enjoy the videos :)

@@robertsilva631 Should be, perhaps, but they aren't. (Just because the videos were mostly recorded by Mery doesn't necessarily mean she's the one who actually uploads them.) I'm hoping that someday we can get someone in her family to improve the titles and provide proper video descriptions (dates, locations, musicians' names, etc.) on that channel. Then they would presumably realize all the mistakes that were made and correct them.

Samantha, you reacted with tears of emotion that only Angelina can deliver with a song. Her voice is a throwback to the forty Jazz period, singers like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald. Welcome to the barefoot Angels world of music a gift from heaven is the only explanation!

Beautifully done sunshine,, everyone else can talk about her out-of-this-world vocals/artistry,, I just want to mention her fearlessness,, if you haven't noticed yet you will notice what this phenomenon does,, she takes the song that was the original singer or Legends "Top" prized hit,,Angelina makes them sound/feel different,,, which makes us question if that's really the way that song was supposed to sound/feel like in the first place,, 👣🌬🌎

this was the first song i heard from Angelina and i was hooked , anyone who didn't feel the emotion in this song knows nothing about music,she is one of the few people ever that actually deserved the golden buzzer at the end, Try goodbye yellow brick road , her second performance on AGT

God called Freddie and said to him: Freddie, they miss you on planet Earth so I’m sending you back Freddie: but God do I really have to go back as a 13 years old Norwegian girl? God: yes and you’re leaving your shoes behind Thank you for your heartfelt reaction.

I have seen dozens of reactions to Angie. I believe 99% of all who watch her sing get goosebumps and/or tear up. She still gets me almost every time. Fantastic reaction! You could start with her recording studio performance at age 6 and work your way forward in time. And don't skip her interviews please!!! And thank you!!!

Actually Angelina was speaking very good English at age 5.There is a KZbin video of her giving someone a tour of her house when she was 5.She spoke better English than a lot of American 5 year olds.

There is a video of Angelina at abt age two speaking perfect English to her bird. Not sure where you got info about her not speaking English. She also attended an American-In-Norway preschool.

When listening to AJ you don't need a warning, her voice is so emotional that I get tears in my eyes every time. Thanks for your reaction 🤗❤️ Just a thought, I've seen some reactors that have cut their videos after making the reactions, and made some comments through the video. Or a small pause with just a text telling that the pause is to avoid getting blocked because of copyrights. 🤗

What a delightful, heartfelt reaction! She is something else, isn't she? This performance on AGT was my introduction to Angelina and it remains my favorite. You've already hit another top one for me with "Spell". The other three NGT songs are all impressive but I love "Summertime " in the finale. "Feeling Good", "It's a Man's World", "I'd Rather Go Blind", "What is Life", "Shield" and on and on to all her recent covers and originals. The crying isn't over, but so many smiles await. Have fun!

Samantha, without any doubt, without any question, you just listened to a MASTERPIECE! The first time I heard this I couldn't get past the line, 'my time has come', because I started crying uncontrollably. It happened several times before I was able to listen to the whole song. It wasn't the phrase that got me. It was her voice. I have since learned to understand what was happening to me. The soulfulness and love in her voice went straight to my heart and my brain never had a chance to figure out what exactly was going on! Samantha, the goosebumps, tearing up (with the urge to cry), and the difficulty to string words together to make complete sentences while she is singing (or, just after) are indications she has touched your heart. Her love is in your heart and it will never go away. Samantha, most of her gigantic fan base (her 'Angels') have listened to her sing this literally thousands of times and, you know what, we all teared up with you as you sat there in shock listening to her. When you listen to it again, and again, and again, note her poise, her confidence. She did the arrangement of the song and when the remaining members of Queen heard it they raved and said Freddie would have been so proud of her performance. I know in your opening comments you spoke about how marvelous she is but, in your wildest dreams, could you have ever imagined how the escalation level of excitement could rise to the point where you were emotionally floored by her voice. And, thank you for not pausing. Many of the most memorable reactions to this song were when the reactors did exactly what you did. I could go on and on, but Samantha, welcome aboard my dear. You will be bombarded with data (playlists and personal information about her) and I do wish you will continue to read the comments because, it's part of the whole package. What's so scary is that she hasn't been officially marketed yet to the world (family decision) and, when that day comes, OMG!

She _commands_ your rapt attention, doesn't she? I have lost count of how many times I've seen this and I _still_ can not for sure tell when the piano starts. Simply amazing. When you eventually get to "Million Miles" keep a handkerchief ready. Its amazing in a good way. Thank you for a lovely, touching reaction -- and there is more wonderful stuff to come from her. :)

Angelina spent a couple of years in the US as a child. She already spoke English when she was on NGT. Perhaps not fluently - she was 7.
