wow. I've framed a bit, but nothing that technical. I always tried to wiggle my way to work with the guys who knew the most. And then over time, that guy became me (at least in the circle I was directly involved with). But there is SO MUCH to learn! I did do a little trammel work on some nice timber frame braces, but with a router.

It all started to make sense once you were installing those rafters. Parts 1-3 were a bit of a head scratcher 😂👍🏽

Would of loved to learn how to do that. Don't know about that circle saw blade .nice job

That was awesome! I've seen the kits but i guess that saw blade is the bees knees when doing that work.

I got to frame a ceiling like this. The curve went across a full sheet of Douglas fur 5/4 plywood. 1 sheet p/joist. Never got to see it plastered.

What kind of blade you use to cut a curve?

That is a very cool ceiling. It’s a shame thy went with carpet, though. Great video!
@chrisg27793 жыл бұрын
That’s pretty sweet. I don’t think I could figure that out unless I had a master carpenter with me. I mean I could do it by myself. But it wouldn’t look like that. Ha.

That seems like a lot of weight for those arched pieces to support, especially just toenailed in all around.

I don't know it I did it in this video, but it other videos of ceilings like this I can hang and climb around. It's very strong and works as a system.

Take 10 minutes and throw up a scaffold and some walk boards would save you alot of up down on the ladder.
@AwesomeFramers4 жыл бұрын
I don't agree at all, it only takes 10 minutes to actually frame it. Don't forget take down time.
@1974jrod4 жыл бұрын
@@AwesomeFramers I speak from experience, but you are certainly free to disagree.
@AwesomeFramers4 жыл бұрын
@@1974jrod I hear you. I find that setting up and taking down the scaffold for just the ceiling isn't worth it. But I sure love it if it is already there :-). Thanks for jumping in on this, I appreciate the differing viewpoints. Too often people think that disagreement is a bad thing. It isn't in my book.
