My short fine hair is so flat if I don’t shampoo and blow dry. I cannot wear flats because of my arches and not ready to give up my underwire. I guess it depends so much on your personal preferences.

...I have worn an Underwire since High School....and believe me... IT HELPS. I don't care what " they " - whomever " They " are - say... I know that it makes a big difference for the way. One looks and I have been told that even when I've gone to get measured.. People can't believe that I'm the age I am and I don't have all that sagging going on.. ..( I'm late 60's. BTW. ) And flats WITHOUT GOOD support are very bad for your feet/ legs, body ....creates problems. I don't wash my except once a week, but it depend on one's hair, etc. I " have fine hair, but I have a lot of it " is how my hairstylists put it. Lol. So one must do what works for them. AND , REAL Capris cover the large part of the calf, that's why they look flattering. They aren't the " Capris " that look like tge ones ( white ones) that she was wearing. Real Capri length looks great, with sandals, supportive flats, even a small heel. Look back on 40's/ 50's/ 60's styles . ... the " Capris " of today are not the same. They look frumpy and have no style.

This is an awesome message Heather! I do so many things different now than i used to. I threw out the uncomfortable shoes. I have nice shoes with smaller heels for special occasions. I will be 65 very shortly, but i still wear shorts. They are knee length. I get them from amazon, baleaf or willet are the brands, they are lightweight and comfy. I also love the skorts. I have very fine hair, but i have tons of li! If i let my hair air-dry it would take 4 to 5 hours. Nope, gotta use a dryer, but i have one that has a low heat setting to not dry out the hair. I also use argon oil about once a week to keep in the moisture. My hair loves this! Happy Easter!

Heather, once a week shampoo is fine for me. It keeps my color longer. I stopped going to the hairdresser lately, so I colored it myself. I'm using Garnier Color Safe shampoo and conditioner on my budget. The conditioner that comes with the color is very good, too. No heels for me for quite some years now. I can do a kitten heel, mostly for my part-time job. I have great sandals from Skechers with yoga mat foam..very comfy. No neons, ever..no underwire bras, either. And, no belts. Skiing isn't for me; can't afford broken bones at my age. Happy Easter, you three! 😊🌷🐇

I also have things I will never buy anymore: plaid shirts, shorts, capris, heeled shoes, very bright colors, tight jeans & pants, bras (I am flat and just wear tank tops & camisoles under my tops), strong clarifying shampoos thinking it will make my hair fuller, wide neck tops & short tops. I'm sure there are many others I could list. lol

I’m 50 and I’m a no blow dryer girl too. I have very thick wavy hair that looks better air dried. Takes a solid half day to dry so only wash it every 4 days or so. I’m with you on the shoes too. I only wear barefoot shoes and Birkenstocks. My life doesn’t require any dressy shoes.

Thank you Heather. You make many good points. I love jeans with 1% elastane (not more than that) and will not ever buy stiff pants again. I love kitten heels and will try to add some to my wardrobe now that they are back in fashion, no wish for heels higher than 2". I like skorts but am not ready to give up shorts completely when it's too hot, for me shorts need at least a 7" inseam, and a wide leg opening around the thighs, for a slight A line. I parted with the capri pants long ago. I cannot give up the hair dryer but use the coolest of the settings and wash twice a week at maximum, can do with once a week + dry shampoo. As you can tell I am here in the same boat!😀

OMG!! I so needed this validation! I, too, have ditched the wire bras. And, comfortable clothes that look classy with a touch of my own whimsical style is what I've been searching for. Everything is geared towards the size zero under-the-age of 25, it can be so depressing. Thank you for the voice of reason and positive dressing possibilities. Your comments about over washing and not blowing drying your hair are awesome in deed. I came to this same realization a few years ago. I have seem some other you tubers talk about very expensive blow dryers one can use as we grow older to save our hair. I think the free method of air drying is much better for my hair than any blow dryer. You convinced me to try a skort. I hope when I get mine in the mail that I look as good as you do in yours.

Hello, newcomer here. I recently discovered your vlog and am enjoying the practical advice you give. I haven't worn an underwire bra in years because of a malfunction on one I had. The wire popped out at some point during the day and was stabbing me in one breast. I stopped in at Walmart and bought an athletic bra to wear for the rest of the day! I discovered Alegria shoes several years ago and just love them; I get a lot of compliments. They come in fun colors/patterns and in wide sizes. I have been using Argon oil shampoos and conditioners, and I really recommend them to anyone with dry or brittle hair. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have for us in the future!

I wore my hair short for decades and in 2016 decided to let it grow longer. My hair is baby fine and thinning fast. I too have recently begun a once a week hair shampooing and found my hair didn’t get greasy, which I expected it would be if I didn’t shampoo daily. I also stopped drying my hair with hair dryers unless I have to. I shall try the Moroccan oil shampoo you mentioned next time I need to buy shampoo. There's also a formula on line to measure for your bra size...I just Google it..a couple of years ago!!! What a game changer!!!....It got to the point I had no idea what size I was I just kept buying bigger from large to etc...finally figured it out...Playtex bras work for me and stay all in place...no more pulling up straps or worst of all have the whole bra creep up over my girls..yes it happened! I spent a small fortune on bras that didn't fit!!!

About a year ago I decided to stick with a style that Ive always loved. “Casual Elegant”. (Sort of a Ralph Lauren style). I’ve never felt comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans because I just didn’t feel myself. I have had so many compliments by girls in their 20’s. Surprisingly, I don’t get any comments from women my age (57). Anyway, I’m having a ball shopping 🛍 and perfecting my look.

.....I smiled reading your comment. I am not a " jeans and t shirt ' girl, either ...unless it's fishing. Or camping. Or like that. It's not " me ' I don't feel it suits who I am... Even when I was in my twenties I had on beautiful light pink denim .(.or boot cut trousers )....a beautiful pink and white striped shirt I had. On flats, Or some Kind of shoe that went with the Ensemble... even when I had on jeans , I wanted to look a certain way and people did always comment on it and I enjoyed that kind of " Casual Elegance " ( at the time, I referred to it as upscale elegance ")... that is who I am. I don't even wear denim much at home... I wear skirts, ...I wear the longer Golf Skirts, as well,.. I wear trousers. I don't like wearing jeans and a t- shirt.

I bought skis to ski with my daughter a few years ago then the pandemic happened, so I haven’t skied much recently. I'm 5'8" tall with a short torso, long legs (35" inseam) and long arms. So I've quit buying pants unless they have an inseam of 33 - 36", the longer the better. I also don't buy mid rise jeans (muffin top) or long sleeve shirts (sleeves too short). And I rarely buy dresses because if they fit my upper body, it doesn't fit over my hips. I didn't have this issue till I went from a 12 (abt 125) to a 16 (abt 175). But I'm slowly changing my wardrobe to fit me. Thank you for your informative and helpful videos!

Thank you again for another helpful video. I am trying to get my thyroid under control (hypothyroidism) and I'm losing my hair, I've gained weight, my skin is super dry, etc. I shampoo my hair only once a week. Even after shampooing my hair and letting it dry I use dry shampoo which has helped it to have some body and hold whatever style I'm trying at that time. I LOVE skorts! Also, I have a pair of Donald J. Pliner pumps that I've had for about 30+ years that I can still wear if I have to wear heels. They are so comfortable! I don't spend much money on myself these days because we've still raising a grandson and we have a granddaughter who needs our help from time to time (we wouldn't have it any other way) however, I'm getting my hair cut this Thursday and I am so excited about it. Again, thank you so much for your helpful tips and encouraging us to take some pride in our appearances. God bless you!

I use the Davines product . The Purple shampoo or the one called Heart of Glass and the products are made in Italy!

Trader Joe’s makes a bar shampoo that really cleans the scalp and treats psoriasis pretty well. Doesn’t build up on the hair and one could easily wash once a week over 60. I use a minuscule amount of Ten on the ends if needed. Haven’t used conditioner in decades because my hair was always oily and fine. Haven’t used a blow dryer since the 90s. Lather rinse repeat is just to sell more shampoo.

We Americans are the only people who shower and wash our hair so often. After living in several countries I learned that my scalp and hair easily adjusted after about a week and now I wash my short hair every 4 days. It’s healthier and less oily. When you wash it daily it produces more oil. It keeps its shape better too. Yes, sometimes I have to mist it and use a air brush but I save so much time.

I have very fine thinning hair. I’ve found that if I shampoo my hair once a week and use dry shampoo in between shampooing, my hair holds up much better than frequent washing. I wear warners and it has a type of foam support instead of wire. So comfy.

As a larger busted woman ... if your underwire bras is uncomfortable then you are wearing the wrong size. No bra, underwire or not, should make a woman uncomfortable. As a note, Victoria Secret is not really a great bra store for plus size or mature women. I would strongly suggest finding an independent specialty store. If you are near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada I can recommend a great store.

I’m staying with underwire bras because I have not found a soft cup that looks good. They all squeeze me into a cleavage-y uniboob that then shows my crepey chest skin. Only an underwire or a very soft bralette lets the girls rest apart where they naturally sit. Anyone else? The rest of your ideas are great, and I already do most of them. Thanks!

I have thick, dark hair. Letting it sit dry takes a long time so it causes my head to get fungus (doctor said). She prescribed Nizoral which works.

I quit buying uncomfortable shoes years ago. I didn’t wear great shoes when I was younger, and I’m paying for it now. I will wear shorts. My legs may not look their best. But I wear Bermuda shorts all summer. I do wear bright colored shirts. Not neon. That was for my younger years. I love Warner bras also. I have had one for years. It should probably be in the trash. But I still wear it around the house. I have short hair. So I wash it every couple of days. I don’t blow dry it very often. Every once in a while. It looks better if I blow dry it. But if I’m not going anywhere, why bother?

I have long curly hair, blow drying makes it frizzy, so I air dry it and wash it only once a week as it looks better a few days after I wash it and takes a whole day to dry. Every hair is different.

I wish I could only wash my hair once a week ! In the summer I usually have to wash daily, in the winter every other day is the max I can go without washing ! Maybe someday my scalp will dry out ! 😂 I totally agree with you about wearing uncomfortable shoes, the last pair of heels I wore was to my sons wedding in December, they were gorgeous and completely killed my feet ! I kicked them off after the wedding and wore comfy Sketchers shoes at the reception ! I could have cared less what anybody thought, I danced and had a blast ! I wash my hair every 7-10 days. I worked up to that amount of time between washings and my hair adjusted. There are a lot of Lange videos talking about the process and the benefits of it.

Thankyou for the good ideas. Have you heard of the Milk Shake line of hair products? They have some mousse with colors ( including grey). I'm looking for something temporary to add shine and make my hair look more silver/grey. Prefer fragrance free. Do you know of anything of quality that does that?

Just a suggestion. I find the skorts cooler to wear than any shorts and you can now get them in longer styles

At 65, I know what works well for me…most of the time. I only wash hair 1X weekly, it’s a little frizzy and dry. I air dry it and let my natural waves rock. I refuse to wear heels. At the moment I only have flat shoes and low heeled boots. I’m still a tee shirt and jeans girl. Don’t own any trousers. Can’t wear a bra because of costochondritis in my rib cage. I wear shaping camis instead. I’m retired and a home body. My clothes reflect my lifestyle.

I think i'm the only one who prefers underwife bras and finds them more comfortable. I'm 36D, tried buying the non-wire bras and the band was uncomforatable and the non proper lift left me sweaty. I bought a good bra too. I buy only the better brands at nordstromrack online. I get a Natori or Wacoal for $30
