An interesting piece of trivia about this movie ... This is the first time Chevy Chase and Bill Murray had been in a show together since the 70's on an episode of Saturday Night Live ... during that episode of SNL, they literally got into a fist fight backstage and had to be broken up by other cast members ... when they made Caddy Shack, the director realized toward the end of filming that there was not a single scene where Chevy and Bill had been together ... so he had them write the scene of the two talking at Bill's place ... they both handled the scene professionally, even though they had last ended on an extremely bad note.

James - I believe it's ten seconds from when you hit it until it reaches the hole. The reason the rule exists is because of a player named Don January (who won the PGA Championship in 1967). He hit a putt in the 1963 Phoenix Open that fell just short, but January argued the ball was still moving, albeit tremendously slowly, so by rule then, he wasn't allowed to play it. It took seven minutes for it to get figured out, and the ball never dropped. Finally, he had to play it, because they threatened to fine him if he didn't. The rule was changed after that. Apparently, it's still known as the "Don January Rule."

@@AwesomeUSMovies I pulled up your Letterboxed list, I really need to see what you have seen, and figure out which movies I think you might enjoy that aren't on your list. I know a TON of "obscure/forgotten" movies, one of which you just did (Airheads). The Bad News Bears is a movie I saw in theaters back in the 70s, and loved it. A more "adult" movie along the same vein would be "Beer league" which I found in Walmart's $5 bin one day, and bought it because it LOOKED funny. I was not disappointed, either. Anyway, I'll toss some suggestions your way, and remember, I tend to suggest movies that other channels aren't doing, because that sets you apart from the group. As much as I love movies, and watching reactions, it's not exactly fun watching 10 channels react to the same movie on the same day or two. Have a wonderful day!

such a fun movie. I was never a fan of Rodney Dangerfield, but his humour is perfect for this. When I was a member at a golf club, our resident Pro actually got struck by lightning during a competition (he's ok). Also... a kangaroo HAS actually stolen my golf ball, or rather stood over it refusing to let me near it. One glance at those claws and I quickly decided the penalty was a better option! - I may sound like a golfer, but pretty certain since the crew I played with are known and on the pro circuit... but certain with the maximum handicap (initially), I was the comedy relief. We would retire to the 19th while the wannabe (and eventual pros') went on to play another 2 rounds. We were sinking beers while they were sinking putts. No wonder they were so good lol - considering one of their spectacular fall from grace.. maybe he should have socialized with us more and worked on his personality game!
