The Croatian pilot appeared to make an error on take-off. She had tunnel vision on take-off, and wasn't watching the airspeed indicator when she pulled back on the stick. Which might have been fine had her left seater been calling out the indicated airspeed, but it doesn't appear as though he was. It looks as though she was using visual cues to judge her take-off speed instead. A very bad habit to get into, but all's well that ends well I suppose...

It'd be nice if the music was dropped down where IT was the background, not the cockpit and radio traffic. THAT'S what we want to hear. Nice tunage, though, just pot it down. Because of the sustain nature of musical 'sound', it's easy to have it up too high and obliterate voice.

KUDOS to anyone who chooses the civil aviation industry as a career venue: That's if one is able to get a foot on the ladder at all. So the saying goes 'In order to make a fortune in aviation one has to begin with one' ... Then once you are in the competition is tough for progression and promotion! So see this video as an example of how to gain that edge over the competition in the primary stages of an aviation career ... Rather than just face-value 'Fit birds flying sea planes!' Does spell the difference between what acumen is required to be an 'aviator' as opposed to just becoming a bog-standard 'pilot' because flying an amphibian / seaplane does demand more of you. Although this does make me wonder why nobody was ever interested in filming 'Command Pilot Looks Rather Like Bruce Willis (apparently!) flying amphibians in the Cayman Islands' ... Yeah RIGHT! / AS IF!!! Clue: I trained in an era of hand-held cam corders and well before KZbin existed. Best wishes to all who are in the early or primary stages of their aviation careers :o)
