The difference between different dramas: Chinese dramas: Two people are wrong for each other, but they have lots of chemistry. After going through many things, they finally get married and have a son (but the male lead was hoping for a daughter) Korean dramas: Two people are wrong for each other, but they have lots of chemistry. After going through many things, they kiss passionately, then break up, then get back together Japanese dramas: Two people are wrong for each other, but they have lots of chemistry. After going through many things, they are still not together because even though they have lots of chemistry, they are still wrong for each other. Thai dramas: Two men are right for each other but at least one of them is straight. After going through many things, they realize they are in love, break up due to homophobia, and then get back together Mexican dramas: Three people are wrong for each other but have lots of chemistry. Who will end up together? 7 seasons later, we find out. USA dramas: Two people are wrong for each other, but they have lots of chemistry. Two seasons later they sleep together, but are still not a couple. Season four they get together. Season five they break up. Season six they get back together. Season 7 is terrible, they get married and possibly have a baby, but the show gets increasingly terrible until it is finally cancelled after Season 9.

In kdramas the process is slow because they want you to feel the emotions that characters are feeling and I think its really cool its like reading a novel. Once I read a English novel and I loved it so I watched the movie of that too. But it was different I didn't enjoy it like I enjoyed the book. Everything happened so fast.

I mean... Depends on the adaptation AND on the media, of course a kdrama with multiple episodes and a book with hundreds of pages will be able to cover more than a 2 hour movie lol

Kdramas are definitely for people that love romance as the main plot. I find romance as a genre, very boring. So I can’t stand the ‘traditional’ type of Kdramas. However, there’s multiple Kdramas that have romance as a side plot at best and they’re excellent.

Yeah, people think k dramas are only of romance genre because romance dramas are more popular. But there are definitely dramas from other genres which are very good like international level and totally deserve more recognition. Koreans are so good at making slice of life dramas. One of the reasons why I love kdramas is because they're very emotional, many of them have plot twists that you would never see coming in a million years, and it's always so much fun to watch. I just don't get that same experience when I watch american shows, and so I appreciate it a lot from kdramas.

I feel like asian dramas often have more characters than western ones. This seems to help build the story more and allows for the slow builds to still feel impactful and entertaining. Unfortunately, I have to limit how often I watch asian dramas because I really do get sucked into them and it's difficult to return to my normal life, haha.

I never got into dramas here in the US because they usually focus on plot and feel shallow. So I stuck to reading where I could get a more satisfying story. Once Kdramas were added to netflix and I gave them a shot, I really appreciated the way they focused on the characters. It's a much more rewarding experience that way.

Suji always represents us common folk accurately. It's not that the western dramas aren't intentionally crude. Its just the storyline doesn't always conclude with the couple maintaining a relationship as the main plot so we as the audience are desensitized to them having relations. Also k dramas are hilarious for having 20 different angles of the same scene for emphasis. Having dramas be a good mixture of both cultures would be ideal. Byungeun had nothing to be nervous over he did his job well but how flustered he got was funny. Also Seungwoo imitating Suji accent is funny cause he says it with a thick accent too. Loved this video it was cute. 😂 I recommend they react to Euphoria it's an enlightening show to say the least please warn them though it is nothing like a k drama. 💜

I like Korean drama's approach towards showcasing romance ..it's not about being realistic because as a filmaker you have to capture romance and convey the fluttering feeling to the audience which you can't show when two bodies whom you cannot relate just banging each other out of nowhere ..you just don't feel the romance and love That's why romantic novels like jane Eyre , pride and prejudice still work ..and even briderton second season was so famous It's about building the tension and anticipation in romance

They are very good in a professional sense but I just said I personally do not like them as much because they're lacking in a genre I like. I like romance dramas and movies and I just think that western dramas are a bit lacking in this genre.

Asian dramas are the best for those who like to watch the romance genre. We don't really have romance dramas in the west. It makes me a bit sad honestly.

Hallmark channel is basically all romance dramas. They tend to be slow build too more like a k drama.

As a Kdrama addict I love Faith with Lee Min Ho, The Heirs, but also Crash Landing on you 😍 In a Kdrama the two leads usually met up during a traumatic event in the past but they can't remember each other. They kiss at episode 10 & then usually by episode 12 something split them appart (usually the past) & happy ending at episode 16 🤣🤣🤣 loved this video 😍😍😍

I've watched Korean dramas since before they blew up in recent years. Discovered them when I was like 16. They are just beautifully put together. But the comparison skits always make me crack up. I'm glad, despite culture, we can all have a good laugh. I'm glad other people are enjoying other cultures' ways of telling a story. 😊❤😊

I just LOVE how K-Dramas are made. I literally cannot watch european or american series because I get bored so fast. They just get to know each other in the first episode then they maybe already kiss and then..what should I watch for 20 episodes after that? They just spoil it waaay too soon. I ADORE to wait, it makes it 1000 times more exciting and also it makes the relationship feel deeper and their feelings more real.

Yea. I wish more western dramas were slower paced. We focus more on action than romance. However I think 80/90s western romance movies are unmatched. However La la land wasn’t that bad, I watched it yesterday.

If they ever found out about the "maldita lisiada" they might see just how exaggerated some foreign dramas are. Or that one long car hit scene with the girl rolling through the entire car door before collapsing on the floor. Or "Why are you runnin'? Why are you runnin'?"

kdrama staple : the 3 meetings meeting 1 : some time in their childhood (won't remember until episode 10+) meeting 2 : first meeting where one of them finds the other rude or annoying (first episode) meeting 3 : the "OMG what are YOU doing here" accidental 2nd meeting where they start meeting regularly from there on
