Czo Lish Well to be honest most of the people who are praising this movie are Chinese and the cast is Chinese/Singaporean. Korean Americans probably could care less about this movie, and most Asians don't need a stupid movie to make them feel like they belong because chances are they probably accepted the fact that that is apart of who they are and moved on to do things that inspire them like every other human being should. This movie is a pretty dumb step forward imo.

@Lo C Keep living in a fantasy world. Italians are just "white" and white people make up the majority of the population in the US. Let's take a look at other races the largest Asian demographic, the Chinese market: Disney has to constantly make Finn as small as humanly possible on Star Wars posters because of pervasive racism against black people in Asia. Fix your own continent first and then you can complain about America. You're just getting in victim mode like a lot of other people in the US right now.

Raghu Seetharaman when Conan interviewed Adam DeVine he asked him the same questions. I'm all against stereotyping, but it really is a go to question. Maybe he took it too far by saying "so they didn't kick you out of the house?" Like he assumes they won't approve, usually they ask white actors if it's just weird for their famies. So I think it's a bit of a reach and not intentional with maybe a shadow of truth.

SAMELINE FRIENDS Bollywood, the Indian entertainment industry produce more movies than Hollywood in a year. most Asian countries do produce their own dramas & movies in their own language

America IS the world. Or more specifically, Hollywood is the world. Hollywood has more influence on the world than any other movie making group in the world, and yes, that includes OUTSIDE of America. So, Hollywood needs to be more careful about what they release. For example, when they promote negative Asian stereotypes, the rest of the world (excluding Asia obviously) begins to believe those stereotypes (because most of the world on average has lower IQs and are uneducated).
@blueroom35236 жыл бұрын
Your “America is not the world” is lost on many people.
@GenXsinglefree6 жыл бұрын
Hollywood has the resources to promote globally. However, other nations have thriving entertainment industries that have particularly in the last decade expanded globally. Hollywood is still King with blockbusters. I prefer foreign films and tv. I started watching British shows and films in the 90's. Love the Chinese films that feature life in the countryside. You must include Bollywood in your repertoire. Lately, I have been enjoying serial crime dramas from the Scandinavian countries. Over the years, I have enjoyed movies and television from Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Russia, and Turkey. Only us Americans think all things US are the best and we are the center of the world. It's a failure of our education system, public and private. I know because I retired from education. As to your comment about IQ's and the uneducated, education enhances intelligence. Being uneducated doesn't mean a person isn't intelligent. Also, there is formal and informal education. In a long blackout scenario, whom do want in your group, the rich person with the business degree who never cooked or cleaned or planted a seed; or the person who barely finished HS and can fish, hunt, plant and harvest?
