yea but how many of us wish we could have never ever seen it, and so many others like only fools and horses etc and imagine starting them from the beginning for the first time again! I mean I laugh so much still but the first time, on many shows I could hardly breathe through laughing so much. I know this is fiction. But the way people's attitudes are developed in this series was remarkable. They all turned on him when all he was trying to do from.the get go was to be a good boss. Trust was too strong for David, that he couldn't see the daggers behind their backs.

The fact that they ended the series when it was in its peak and didn’t overdo the David Brent character to the point where it got boring unlike the American version is what makes the British version so much better and funnier.. They could have gone on a couple more seasons and creamed all the Money out of it they could but finished it before it got stale is why it’s head and shoulders better than the American version..
