Anybody using AWOL projectors in their theater with 3D? How does it look?

Hi Hatoraid 🤠 the 3D on the 3500 model is incredible you will not be disappointed. I didn’t get a headache or any motion sickness. The colors and the details are out of this world. The best 3D Experience I’ve had in a long time.

Noice! I wonder if the 3D looks so good because of the high lumens and the UST is so close to the screen that you’re not losing any light or detail. Does it come with 3D glasses or do you need to provide your own?

Just received my AWOL 3500, still waiting on the Vanish cabinet. All I can say is “Blown Away” I must have watched Avatar 5 times in a week. The colors are amazing if not out of this world. The 3D feature is by far the best I’ve seen any where. Product was worth every penny…

Thanks for this video. I have the 2500. Two months ago I upgraded the firmware to get 3D, which works great with X105-DLP-X1-R glasses from Xpandvision. I can't wait for the dark contrast and Dolby vision update. Will pair the projector with a HD Fury VRROOM and zidoo Z1000Pro 4K Media Player based on your recommendations.

i always feel more ÈimmersedÈ in 3d movies, I donèt know why it never aught on at home. i guess the glasses are a chore lol

@@hatoraidcowboy Asus has new glasses free technology - but, as of now, it only works w/ one person, who sits smack in the middle of a screen.. anyone else, and the image is disorted

Can this be mounted upside down and used as rear projection? I’m looking to build out the wall, put my front stage behind the screen and the projector as well.

I’m going to assume no, most short throws are designed to be placed right up against the wall. There are a few you can use in the way you want but I dont think they work as good because they arent designed for that.

Are there any "passive 3D" projectors out there that are current? IF the movie theater can do it, why cant these projectors? Thank you.

No passive 3D projectors that I know of. Its all about money. I’m sure on a small level there are technology limitations but I agree, it can be done.

@@hatoraidcowboy I get what you are saying, but By bluray player accepts 3d disc and my one of my older 65 intvs had passive 3d. There is no excuse other than money. folks need to call this type of stuff out.

Yea I had a tv that had passive 3D. Companies are gonna do what they want. I think there is a considerable difference in light output with passive vs active though
