I was at this game. I remember Shanny taking off his helmet and calling out Berry to do the same before the fight. Shanny could throw 'em like no other 600 goal scorer. I had moved from Michigan to Arlington, Virginia for a few years and it was way easier to get Wings tickets at the MCI Center than it ever was at the Joe during that period. The crowd was about 55% Caps fans and about 45% Wings fans. (That shifted to about 25% Caps/75% Wings as Caps fans left early, LOL.)
