what is the use of filter when doing query when we must provide the primary key value? we will get a single item or null anyway. so will we filter that single item?!!
@whyCHANNELwhy4 жыл бұрын
We can create a composite primary key (primary key + sort key). So with this, you can use the primary key more than once because the combination of the primary key and sort key needs to be distinct. So in a query, there can be more than one result because of different sort key values.

Hello... Thanks for your time for this channel and your great video. I want your help to confirm this. If I have a table that have total size 80 KB, I would be spend 20 RCU for Strongly Consistent or 10 RCU for Eventualy Consistent in "Scan" mode. But if I using "Query", maybe my RCU would be spend lesser than Scan and the size data I read can be 5 KB or something else even my table size is 80 KB. Thanks.

Hai, NamrataHShah , As I am a newbie to DynamoDB, ur video means a lot to me. I am using dynogels along with node js to perform the create, update and delete operation over Dynamo DB, Now I am having the doubt that can I achieve relationships like OnetoOne, OnetoMany, ManytoMany relationships in DynamoDB or it is not a best practice?. If u say we can do it .please give some example ..

I believe there is only 1 type although you have different datatypes - docs.aws.amazon.com/amazondynamodb/latest/developerguide/DynamoDBMapper.DataTypes.html

@@NamrataHShah I think he is referring to to Simple and Composite primary keys. Without Composite primary keys, the concept of querying is more difficult to understand.
