Hi Gaurav . Aws documentation described that when creating and AMI from EC2 will reboot your EC2 machine. In this Video i did not observe it? Why is it so? What is recommended method to create an AMI of a Production App ? Hope you will reply.

when we create an AMI of existing machine, it automatically creates a snapshot for its EBS volume. Why it creates a snapshot while creating an AMI??

Creating an AMI from an EC2 instance captures the entire state of the instance, including the root volume, additional attached volumes, installed applications, configurations, and data. When creating an AMI from the root EBS volume of an instance, only the contents of the root volume are captured. Additional attached volumes and instance store volumes are not included.
