Hey guys, one thing I've thought of that goes along with her idea of spraying Febreeze-if you put the protective bag over your cosplay, throw a single dryer sheet in the bag! It really helps make my cosplays smell better and, along with the Febreeze spray, should make your cosplays smell heavenly!

You could put your Harley mask in a sunglass case then in your hanger bag and the other items could be placed into little makeup bags so characters are separate. Just a suggestion I thought of, beyond that I love your work and ALL of your videos.

Small tip: vodka is great for getting rid of odors. Just spray some vodka over your costume and let it air dry and it smells fresh again. You do have to watch out with paints and dyes bc it's still alcohol. You might want to try it on a swatch first

I have an endgame Black widow suit that has attachments I'm afraid to wash and the only dry cleaners in my town closed so I looked up a way to clean the body suit and its one part water, one part Vodka and an essential oil to cover the vodka smell. its not something to do for hard core cleaning but its great for getting rid of smells and bacteria. and it saves some money from going to the dry cleaners every time its worn.

The cosplays that I bought came in bags, I bought my Izuku Midoriya cosplay outfit from spirit Halloween and I used the bag it came in to store it, it fit all the pieces inside because it was bigger (It has a mask, arm and knee pads, and gloves.) I used a smaller bag that one of my wigs came in to store my Kokichi Ouma outfit, since that one doesn't have many pieces. I hang my wigs on my bed post because I dont have any heads and I don't want them to be messed up!

I'd recommend after you wash your cosplay and when your cosplay is still alittle damp to iron it if you really want to get the wrinkles out. I've tried ironing my cosplay without dampening it on the recommended setting and it really didnt get any wrinkles out, but when I dampened almost all of my wrinkles came out! Hope this was helpful!

tips you might be able to use... first is hanging your clothes to air dry, if you have wooden dowels or find two or three shower rods on one of your trips to the thrift store (if you don't go to thrift stores you'd better start because you never know what you'll find!) hanging extra shower rods over your tiles in the shower not only give you a place to dry your stuff but using a plastic container, it also gives you shelf space when needed (try and find the rods with a paint or plastic coating or you'll be dealing with rust and rust stains. ) for those props you spend so much effort and time making, you need to put them away and declutter your workspaces... but where do you put a (insert crazy sized weapon here)??? LOL using a stud finder you'll not only figure out where your next date is but you can find out where the studs inside your wall are, So... using screw in hooks you can keep these things out of the way but keep them out as show pieces and conversation starters (I not only keep a hook every 16 inches one inch down from the ceiling going around open spaces of the walls but I also have planter hooks on the ceiling a few inches away from the walls in open corner spaces for bigger items) PS: for those props you plan on keeping... it will save you time and trouble if you use a spray on plastic coating after cleaning them before putting them away. instead of last minute cleaning all you'll need is a duster!
@AxcelerationDesigns11 жыл бұрын
I keep them in that trunk. (I will make wig styling / care / storing tutorials in the future) but for now know that the best place to keep a styled wig is on a headstand covered by a plastic bag or covered by something so it doesn't get dusty. Where you put that headstand depends on where you can find room ;)

Hey I have a question! I'm going to have a big costume with alot of armored pieces, what's the best way to store it? I'm scared that putting them in a bag can actually damage the acrylic paint!
@AxcelerationDesigns9 жыл бұрын
I try to hang up as much as i can on hangers. But i do store a lot of my armor in those big cloth reusable grocerie bags.
See I thought about Dry cleaning a lot of my stuff...till i learned just because it has the name "Dry Cleaning" doesn't mean its washed any differently than in a regular machine. The main difference is they use a chemical to wash your cosplay not water hence "Dry Clean"

I really like the idea of storing costumes like you do. But what if you have lots of items that go with two costumes? A lot of my costumes [parts] I throw in the washmachine, and it goes well most of the time. To much work to wash everyting by hand.

@AxcelerationDesigns6 жыл бұрын
Interesting to put them inside something. Do you feel like they actually get clean that way?
@elliee39136 жыл бұрын
Axceleration yes its worked for me and normally gets anything that got on my cosplay out for example i have a pair of delecate nylon leggings that i made into armsocks and it works well but i would be carefull aproaching this method with your cosplays because if you do it wrong ypur cosplays can be seriosly damaged i also wouldnt recomend it if ypu think any dye of coloring will come off your cosplay also if it is loosly sewn together the washing machine can be damaging so this method isnt for everybody
@elliee39136 жыл бұрын

Just curious about the giant hammer prop, does it grow tiring having to walk around all day with a prop that big? Or does it just become a part of the costume in the sense that your clothing and style is remarkably uncanny to Harley Quinne? :) I may be going to the Heroes & Villains Fest in London next year in May and I want to cosplay for the first time. Steven Amell will be there! :D
