The o-ring inside the reducer is approximately 4.7625 mm thickness and 28.5 mm outside diameter. Keep in mind that bell reducers can be slightly different so you might need a thicker o-ring inside the reducer and you might also need an additional o-ring on the bottle threads as shown in this video. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGS8o3R5as11qKc Hope this helps. 👍

Very nice work! I recently built one following a similar design... although my air vent doesn’t seem to make a difference at all (90 degree elbow compression fitting with a 1/4” copper tube longer than the bottle is tall)... Any chance you’d be willing to help me figure out where I’m going wrong in my design?
@axcreates_official3 жыл бұрын
Yes, happy to help. What size pipe did you used for the project?
@mattbaldwin88923 жыл бұрын
@@axcreates_official hey! I used 3/4” pipe - I did some playing with my design, turned out the air vent was too far down on my design. My new design simply moved it up closer to the bottle and it works like a champ. Your video helped a lot with the initial design - thank you!

Does your liquor ever change colors? I dont know why mine does. The only thing I think I'm doing differently is, I use epoxy to plug up that one pipe instead of welding it. That epoxy is alcohol resistant. Oh and my air release pipe is copper. Any idea why my liquor is changing color?
@axcreates_official3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I don’t think is the copper vent since copper and stainless are the preferred materials for making stills. If you used all stainless materials and Lead Free brass valve then all I can think is the epoxy. I’m looking into a different and safe way of doing it where there’s no welding involved for the next dispenser I make. Hope this helps. Thank you for your feedback and support.

Hi! I'm wondering what the piece that connects the tee and reducer is called?
@axcreates_official2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what piece you’re referring to. So there’s the cross with a 3” long nipple and 3/4”x 1” reducer on top. You have the 6” long nipple on the bottom that also connects to the base. On one side you have the valve and on the other side of the cross you have a 3/4” x 1/4” bushing with a 1/4” NPT x compression fitting. You’ll find the list of parts in the video’s description. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

@axcreates_official3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can replace the 3/4" Nipple with this valve. Or you can get this same valve male x female and add a 3" nipple to keep it the same height, since the welded nipple is 6" long and the valve is approximately 3" long. So the liquid dosent goes up the vent tube ?
@axcreates_official4 жыл бұрын
DIY Creations I haven’t had a problem with it. It just needs to be higher than the bottle being used.
@jmsell96364 жыл бұрын
the vent tube is actually called a vacuum breaker. It prevents a vacuum from forming in the nozzle and the liquid from not flowing. it won't go up and out the tube because the liquid level is not higher than the outlet of the liquid in the bottle. same principle as how your toilet works (there's an S shaped pipe in the bottom with a liquid filled vacuum break there).

Metal is porous. Even the cleanest of parts off the shelf could still have residual oils from the manufacturing process. When I had a Cerakote shop one of the steps after sand blast and degreaser was to bake the stripped part to release any trapped oil in the metal.

There are so many different styles and the amount of bottles you can use is endless, I GUESS MY PROBLEM AND QUESTION IS, why don’t nobody ever show the steps and parts on how to stop the liquid from flowing pass the turning handle , making it is one thing, stopping the liquor from spilling at the bottom and through the wood is another thing, NO ONE EVER SHOWS THAT PART and that makes me believe you guys are not actually using them item instead getting the views and selling us a false non-working item. I’ve made over 10 of these and I followed every step 100% smh YOU HABE TO DO BETTER.
