in the east coast of malaysia, people used to hide small axe in their traditional headgear. sometime they tied the axe to the end of sarong and made it into a long range weapon. interesting to note that in the 1967, a malaysian politician was assassinated by one of these weapon.

beautiful Silat techinques ! I can see why many think Silat is the ancestor of Filipino Kali , escrima and Arnis ; The angles of attack and defence moves are similar . There's not a lot of difference !. Pugay kuya , maraming salamat po ! :)

Before you use this technique, you should know how far your opponent weapon reach, keep in mind reach is important in fight . That is why in Borneo , the op weapon is a whip made of sting ray tail, and in Chinese they love to use spear.
