Also a side note in case you’re not aware, he has a bunch of solo breakdown lessons for other a7x solos on there as well. Keep in mind they are longer videos though since he breaks down the theory behind the solos instead of just reading off some tabs. They are very good learning tools

Sounds killer, Hector! Love the tone you dialed in for Buried Alive! Some of the distorted tones sound a little fizzy here - I'd back off some of the 10k+ on the EQ or use the low-pass on the cab to weed it out. Yes, I know you're still working on it :-) Crazy playing - it's amazing to see how much you've improved in even just a year. I miss being young.

Ed Seith syn’s tones are typically a bit fizzy isolated, but they cut thru a mix great!

@@redtoesmaster2931 No, that's not true. It's a CAB PACK, just the cabinet IRs. You have to dial in the tone on the amp and effects yourself. I demo'd the cab pack when it first came out. There are no tone packs for Syn. Not official ones, anyway.

Play sevenfold songs. Starts slow with a metronome and work up. Learn scales and how to sweep pick. No magic equation here buddy, just time and dedication

Most of your tone will come from the Axe FX and similar pickups to Syn's. Like if I run my Charvel through Syn's tone, it instantly sounds different.

Great question! So pretty much, you buy the cab emulation. That's it. It is up to the user to determine which amp it is (Ed, a student of the SGS and expert on the Axe-FX, told me it was the 5150 100W red channel) and adjust the settings from there. You can hook this up to a speaker and it'd work similarly to an amp. I, on the other hand, don't own a speaker yet, so I just plug my Axe-FX directly into my laptop where I use Logic Pro to record!
