2018 Ducati Hypermotard 939 TEST RIDE (RAW SOUND)

Test ride of the 2018 Ducati Hypermotard 939.
I never liked the first Hypermotard, but with the 939 Ducati has made a masterpiece. The gears are the perfect length and the bike is really agile. Unfortunately I didn't know the road and its conditions and couldn't risk crashing the bike, so I was very cautious in the corners.

sounds and looks awesome :) think the screen isn't fitting the bike, but for comfort i guess its very helpfull (at higher speeds) nice ride love the bike! greetings from belgium ;)

Yeah, it's not beautiful, but I have to say I'm impressed by how much it reduces wind turbulence. It was comfortable up to 170 kph

It was not my bike, so I honestly don’t know where the windscreen comes from. Might be an official Ducati one or the Givi one. I don’t know

Vero, non è stato furbissimo come sorpasso. Probabilmente oggi non lo farei. Se nella zona dove vivi non ci sono furti, un telo coprimoto va più che bene. Poi se la acquisti nuova e a rate puoi aggiungere con poco più l'assicurazione Ducati contro furto e incendio che ti da il satellitare, e se te la rubano (nei primi due anni) ti danno il valore a nuovo se compri un'altra Ducati. E' quello che ho fatto io col mio Monster 1200

Molto bella. La prima hyper non mi era piaciuta per niente, nè ciclisticamente nè come rapportatura delle prime due marce. Questa è agilissima, leggerissima e la prima non è troppo lunga. Spinge bene a tutti i regimi. Peccato averla avuta meno di un’ora e su strade che non conoscevo. Ah, il sound è notevole anche con lo scarico di serie, e con quel cupolino si sta una meraviglia anche alle alte velocità

I testrode a 939 hyper this week and liked it a lot. As far as I read the 821 is not worse than the 939. A little less punch bit also lighter and more aggressive. Can someone comment on 939 vs 821?

You can do wheelies on every bike! And with this you can do power wheelies if you disable the traction control

@Mark Duncan Hi! Thanks for taking the time and making a constructive comment, not many do that. Starting from the end, that is the travel kitted Hypermotard 939, not a Hyperstrada (which was not in production anymore at the time if I recall correctly). At the beginning of the video, I perfectly realize that I made a dick move pulling out in front of that car, not a big safety issue, but still a very dicky move. Regarding the rest, I try to stay as close to the center as possible, on my side of the road. I realize that there are many good points in what you wrote, and it might come down to personal preference, but I can explain my reasoning. On left handers, even though I have less visibility of the road far ahead staying in the center of the road, I have more margin in case of emergency. Moreover, being more in the center means I have to lean less the bike, as the inside of a curve has a smaller radius than the outside. Overall, my philosophy is: the closer I am to the center, the more space I have on BOTH sides in case of emergency. If I'm hugging the shoulder, even for brief periods of time, I only can go left. If you have any other question or advice, feel free to write, as I said I appreciate constructive feedback.
