So, if I'm cooking dinner at my girlfriend's house and I take my knives, because her knives are rubbish, because she doesn't really cook, which is precisely why I'm cooking dinner in the first place, I should automatically go to prison? What if I'm a temp chef going to a job? Or I'm moving house and just transporting the last few bits, including my knife for when I'm wild camping? What about when I am wild camping? Will lorry drivers caught carrying 5,000 knives in their truck get a life sentence? If you make it illegal to transport a knife, you make it illegal to have any knife in the country. Because all knives need to be transported at some point, without transportation knives can't be anywhere. Your house, a restaurant, the shops...
