Axes look amazing. Great video too. What I've noticed on many traditional axes is that the grain is parallel to the ax head. It gives it a bit more strength (think of a board on edge rather than flat) but so far it does seem that you have a problem with that. It is so hard giving constructive criticism through KZbin comments with out sounding douchey. Keep up the great work.

Epic. As someone who has restored 50+ old axe heads and put new handles on them, gotta say this is awesome and cooler than any I did. Next time if you do more, get some old axe heads on ebay, there are tons of lonely old axe heads just waiting for handles, and if Nicholas is sanding them up for you anyway might as well save you the step of removing handles on brand new ones.

Awesome work but you need to get a hold of Dale Puckett, send him some material and let him carve a cigar box guitar neck from it and build one. I'm pretty sure he lives near you anyways. I feel like the two would go together exceedingly well

Genuinely curious to see a stress test of something like this. I'd imagine it to be fairly brittle, with a very short duty cycle, but it seemed robust at the end. I know that's not the point, but if we stumble into a new design/manufacturing process that is both form and function. Why not? Killer work as always friend

Beautiful axes but the blade that scared me most? The utility knife at 1:17 - if you're pulling griptape etc under force...PUT THE KNIFE DOWN. We all do this and its the easiest way to get a very nasty gash injury. I'm no health and safety nut, but I don't want to see your craftsman's hands put out of action!

he got ax. if get enough broken skate bords he glue huge square logs and make log cabine home for him self. think make numb chucks, bow staff and three section staff martial arts weapons. bow staff hafe inch short then how ever tall you are. three section staffs normally 52 inches middle and sides 12 inches. little longer then bow staff when spin it folds up little. middle longer then ends. drill holes thread from through do some slip not not come lose when spin like bow staff. numb chucks easy make 12 inches as well need drill holes do some not that not come lose spin it. every one thinks have use chain but rope fine. chain use if going sword but most people use for exercise and fun. rope still hurt fine on anyone not use knife or sword so still weapon. to make own rope. need grow flax seed. when plant big weed. break steam long blond hair look stuff inside steam. want braid this like poney tail then get not tie book see how tie not not come undone. might find cub Scott girl brands hair to help with this. not sure what chain with dumb chucks should be think hand but two hands. I like big round 2 inch think staff and chucks staffs. but how round should be up people use it.
