In this video I install (correctly this time) and review the NEW Furitek angry sparrows titanium chassis kit for the Axial AX24 XC1! This new kit is available in titanium and carbon fiber and takes the AX24's performance to new heights! With a multitude of shock locations, and linkage positions, it allows for a much broader range of customization and tuning all while lowering the center of gravity.

Just finished this build and couldn't have done it without this video. My motor is a Mofo BAM powered by Furitek ESC dumped into a Radiolink R4F mini rcvr. You are absolutely correct about this being a challenge. I experimented with several iterations before finally getting it the way I want it. Many hours and beers noodling, thinking and trying to get little nuts onto little screws. Thank goodness for hot glue and tie wraps. Took it out today for it's first run and was absolutely amazed at how it climbs our coastal rock formations where I live in Japan. (Jogashima at the mouth of Tokyo Bay. Google maps satellite view will give you a good idea.) Injora Comp Mini pins will finish it off. It has now become my favorite 24. Thanks, Adam.

Angled skid, flat skid, shock relocation, link relocation, battery forward, lighter chassis. Whether that’s worth 50 is subjective, but nothing is free 🤷🏻‍♂️ For someone who wants a direct swap I guess it’s cool. I personally would rather put that 50 towards a dementor or pitbull and run a scx skid.

I watched your first wideo of this, and also mounted mine the wrong way.....Back to the table with it..... I did put all the electronics in the battery tray and relocated the battery, seems to work fine. I have to switch the axels around as i overdrived the front, that now is put in the rear :P For next i'll try longer links in the back, adding 10mm wheelbase

Did you ever run into clearance issues between the driveshaft and outrunner?

Not since doing the chassis swap. On stock chassis I did. You can fix it by reversing the driveshaft so the male end is closest to the motor, then you can slightly trim the female end if you still have rubbing issues

i am waiting for this chassis to arrive but went for the carbon option, im in the uk so having to wait a week for it. the stock transmission fit with this also? it says it does but heard a few people struggle,

Love the idea. Love the adjustability. I have to admit, i'm still not a fan after seeing it run. the fact that it's designed specifically for the heavy 350mah factory battery is a problem for me. running a tiny palmbot is essential as keeping the AX24 super light is really makes it so capable.

When designing it we took into account the fact that many do still use factory batteries and not a smaller more competitive one, hence the larger battery hole. This does not mean a smaller battery cannot be used in front as the battery tray allows for the battery strap to be used for anything smaller than the original 350mah battery 👍.

Totally understand why you thought it was correct the other way, usually that cross bar IS in the front. Obviously having most of the electronics and battery up front makes more sense but it looks weird like that to me 🤷🏼‍♂️. Nice vid!

Thanks! Yes, in my defense both of the other comp chassis that Furitek released had the elongated, thinner portions at the front. They fooled me on this one.

I really enjoy your builds. I’m waiting for my crawler to arrive. I plan on the brushless upgrade and most likely will get the new cage. I’m new to the sport, flew RC Helicopters for years but at 71 my eyesight isn’t good enough to fly safely. Decided to take up surface RC. Currently have the Mini Z Mr03 EVO setup and a DYI track with a 77” x48” infield I’m going to use for a crawler course

I think it could. If you relocated the mini battery tray to the rear and used small electronics I think it could work. Matt over at 2FMRC fit a mini komodo in his, which is nearly the same size as the ROP
