Both cars driven with 4S LiPo.
Tuning: Ryft: stabilizers, 2-speed gearbox.
Foxx: unchanged
It was surprising for us that the Kyosho not only kept up well, but was superior to the Ryft in some areas. The handling is difficult to control with the rigid axles on both in the higher speed range. Nevertheless the Kyosho was easier to handle even without AVC. Advantage of the Ryft: the electronics of Spektrum is in any case more modern. Be that as it may, it's complaining on a high level, both are great fun.
We like 🙂:
- FO-XX:
- Even without AVC simple, good handling
- easy to repair
- good durability
- still beautiful, unique look
- Ryft:
- installation of a 2-speed gearbox possible
- good RTR tires
- installation of stabilizers possible (recommended).
- For a "Rock Bouncer" very good top speed
- almost indestructible tubular frame
- large battery compartment
Neutral 😐:
- FO-XX:
- Usable RTR tires
- Good climbing characteristics
- Ryft:
- Good DX3 remote control with AVC control
- Good climbing characteristics (especially with 2-speed gearbox).
We don't like 🙁:
- FO-XX:
- Spare parts not always available immediately
- Plastic spur gear
- Ryft:
- Tippy and difficult handling at higher speeds despite AVC
