The #benchflex got me thinking...Possibly proline shocks if that’s on the list.. then you can dial in the geometry for the links & steering or some cool scale accessories

Hi Harley. I used your deadbolt budget build yesterday and I made my own copy of a howler custom battery and electronic tray. My scx10 was bone stock and now it handles so amazingly. Thanks Harley

Great video. So many people look over the basic things with out of the box trucks. Good job on reminding the new guys to check and grease those ring gears. Let’s see some budget brass or weight down low, to help those KO2’s perform!

Great tire choice Josh! Looks like the weather is pretty nice for you as well... ;)

Good stuff Josh- the friendly competition between yourself and the SBG is good. It provides something new to RC KZbin. You know I’m team Harley all the way so kick ass!

I really like the RC4WD gladiator tires. They look great, perfect height, and have the best grip of any 1.9 tire I've ever seen. Again not the best for muddy trails but they stick on the rocks! I'm really liking the more shallow lugged and close voids on tires for pure rock crawling.
@RemedyTalon6 жыл бұрын
I was fairly pleased with the stock tires on the Honcho, of course our terrain may differ. Another interesting thing to note is that the manual actually lists these as the R35 compound whereas Axial's website specifies the S30 compound.

Thanks for the tip on the Tires! Going a little smaller is also going to lower your final Gear Ratio, slightly. But then, any reduction equates to better Climbing Performance! I'm enjoying your "friendly competition". I'm catching both of you every Wednesday! At 53.... it's safe to say that I don't win Anything. 😖 However, in the Spirit of the better times ahead, I'll give it a shot! Carmine 🚂

The friendly competition is the most fun I’ve ever had on KZbin! I’ve known Matt for years but we’ve never collaborated on anything, makes me regret never taking an opportunity like this earlier!
@pacbeltrr387 жыл бұрын
You and Matt seem to really be enjoying this!! I sure am. He might edge you on the Scale Details - but you should get him back in the Performance Department!! I'm STILL hoping that Axial releases this as a KIT! I love it, but it's still beyond what this old, Broken Vet on Disability can come up with.... I do look forward to it! I had forgotten to Sub.... Fixed that!!! 😎😉 Carmine 🚂

Hi there, boy, you definitely have the technical skills, there's probably nothing you don't know about these rigs man. Great couple of videos. I'm not a fan of the type of body, cab and cage, that the honcho comes with, but after watching you guys work on them, I may get myself one. I've saved a few quid, but I'm unsure what to get. There's about 5 different rc's I'd love, but can't choose one from them. 😀 👍 👍 👍 👍

Bodies are easy to change when you’re ready of course. I like to keep the same body so that it looks relatable to others who own them!

Harley wonderful channel can I ask you a question how can I stop wheel wobble? I have a Axial Honcho.
@HarleyDesignsInc6 жыл бұрын
Well are you sure it’s wheel wobble and not just tire wobble? Good foams will support a tire better and keep it more true. But tires on these types of trucks will always wobble. Now if it’s actually the wheels, you may want to look and see where it’s coming from. Worn bearings and plastic knuckles (or poor quality aftermarket knuckles even) can cause lots of wobble.

Do you worry about mixing greases? Sometimes China uses animal-based grease that doesn't mix with petroleum grease. I would disassemble and remove all of the factory grease if it needs attention.

Without the spur gear cover, isn't there a worry about getting sand or debris in those gears?
@HarleyDesignsInc6 жыл бұрын
Open spur gears are not an issue, you’ll find them on tons of RC vehicles. It’s of no concern.

Hi. I would like to know if I can use 30k Silicone Diff Fluid to lubricate the transmission gears.

Truck Newb here. Taking off the spur gear cover like that will that cause any problems with debris or water?
@HarleyDesignsInc6 жыл бұрын
No, it’s really not a big deal. I don’t run a spur gear cover on most of my rigs actually.
@revd136 жыл бұрын
@@HarleyDesignsInc thanks for the quick answer. It really helps. I teach kids how to fly drones but now trail running and crawling has really got my attention. Trying to get all the basics in my head along with the gotchas before taking the jump.

Wrong, tire choice man, should have gone KLR’s 🤪
@HarleyDesignsInc7 жыл бұрын
I dig the look of the KLR’s but the price and not coming with foams just doesn’t work in this case. Plus, a licensed tire is a plus for many new people to feel relatable to the full size world.
