I have the Yeah Racing drops on mine. Because of the motor I am running I needed to lower the center of gravity. ITs a ripper! Running wider and shorter Duratrax tires/wheels. Love the speed, its so fun to run. Do you still run this truck? What motor do you have?

Unfortunately, I sold this truck. One of the few I regret letting go!

@RCMattster Yeah - I sell all the time. I found I can't keep more than a certain number or the maintenance drives me broke!

I noticed a lot of people are lowering their crawlers lately. Guess that means there must be something to it? Curious to see how well it does now. I would imagine it can probably take some steeper inclines now, but more curious about its ability to roll over stuff with the loss of suspension flex... 🤔🤔🤔
@RoadsideRC5 жыл бұрын
So far, it appears much more capable. Just feels "planted" at all times. Before, it was fairly tippy, and it was pretty common to feel the front end or a side start to loose traction as it tipped. No more!
@idiot_RC2 жыл бұрын
I know this is 2 years old, but to anyone thinking about buying these...he installed the front ones backwards. Swap sides so the lean away from the cockpit, not towards. This will give more usable adjustment options where the shocks won't bind.
@RoadsideRC2 жыл бұрын
I put them that way to get as much rearward angle as possible. You certainly get more usable range the other way around.

Man that's pretty neat. I've seen people just put a piece of metal plates to mount the shocks in different positions. I'm very interested in this how are you planning on putting back the body? Obviously you need to cut in order to fit. Would it be easier to just cut the hanging piece out? Therefore the body remains un cut?
@RoadsideRC5 жыл бұрын
I thought of just making my own panel for this - really seems easy enough at the end of the day. But figured it would look nicer this way...and the price was cheap! I am cutting the hole in the body for the piece to stick through. You are right that as it sits, I could just chop the top of the plate off and everything would clear. But (1) I want to keep the mounting position options, and (2) chicks dig stuff sticking through the hood! :)

Old post, new question. How long are your shocks? Stock 100mm? Have you put longer shocks on with the drop kit?
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
They are still 100mm. One goal with the droop kit is to lower the truck.

Thanks! I would think with how in to crawlers you are, having Wraith as part of your lineup would be great - but it certainly isn't as scale as a lot of crawlers. I am thinking if picking up a Capra next, but seeing the Hobao and Element on your channel make me consider those also!

What shocks are you running with the Gearhead lowering kit stock shocks or binding up
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
I had to space the top of the shock away from the mount to eliminate binding. These are not stock shocks, but the issue is the same.

It’s makes the ground clearance worse but helps hill a lot I’ve been thinking longer shocks for more flex and use the lowest hole to keep it low that’s my new plan when I get back to the wraith lot of other ones that getting ship time now good video

Thanks! So far, this has really helped the truck crawl better. Yes, there total ground clearance has suffered some, but there is an easy "tummy tuck" mod to gain some of it back. Thanks for watching!
