I’ve never tried a vanish! I’m in the beginning of my career as a discgolfer so everything is so new and refreshing! I have fallen in love with mvp and all those different molds they have. So as a beginner my wallet is dry empty most of the time because all of my money goes into new discs. 🤩

Yup I talk about the Vanish as a hidden Gem all the time. BUT lets be real Vanish isnt a new disc there are plenty like it in older molds and that is probably why it goes underrated

LOVE the Vanish! I'm throwing that same Proton one you are featuring here. As for your video, you can't really see the flights of the discs with light sky background. I have found that throwing against a dark background, like a high tree line, works best for being able to track the flight.

Agreed with discgolfskullboy, good vid and content, + comparison, hard to se the discs and the gravel is the only things making it less enjoyable, but love these kinds of vids. Got a 165g fission wave which in my hands on full power is flippy af, i've tried a buddies neutron wave 172g in comparison which was less flippy, but still able to get the turn over if lightly hyzered, and lastly hearing more people say the eclipse is the most overstable of the 3 plastics, which looks to be right on.

I totally agree. Vanish is my go-to understable driver. Currently having a hard time deciding wether to bag that or the fission Wave wich flies similarly, but can give you a bit more turn on command. All max weight btw. Now what I really want is a 12 or 13-speed Vanish! I've even pitched the idea to MVP.

Yea, gotta work on video quality the discs get lost. An easy way to start it is to look up KZbin's upload/play back specifications for Resolution, Frames Per Second, Bit Rate, Encoding, etc. Then get equipment to match their technical specs since that's what the end product is being displayed through.

Not having all the information I will make done predictions. 160 gram neutron Vanish flys less stable than the Wave, DD1 and the Time Lapse. Depending on the plastics used and amount of dome DD2 and Vanish could be close. Depending on plastics and weight of Hades it could be more Overstable or about the same in stability.

Tough to see the flights with the sky backdrop, holes with lots of trees in the backdrop are ideal i think? When the disc gets low enough for the trees to be the backdrop i see it just fine. I'm sure you're already aware of this so sorry if this isn't too helpful. Maybe other content creators could give you tips on how they do their camera stuff? I know bodanza seems to be pretty good with it?

Inconsistent flight numbers on the same plastics and weights. I have a Neutron Vanish that flies exactly like a Neutron Defy and I have a Proton Vanish that flies like a Fission Wave. I just have no trust in the mold. As far as 11 speed goes the Fission Photon and the Eclipse Wave have me covered.

@ I have a fission photon and a proton photon that fly very similar to a proton defy I own so I stuck it in the bag to cover than slot, my vanish’s are much more understable than my photons and defys. It’s surprising to me cause mvp has been pretty good about molds flying close to the same for me with minor exceptions

I think MVP makes the most consistent flight number molds on the market without a doubt. Thats the reason I don’t buy another Vanish to test. I bought 2 Trails the other day that are the exact disc. It’s scary how good they both fly the exact same.

I don’t have another Vanish to compare it to, but my 163g at 300ft of power doesn’t really turn. I have a 157g Fission Wave that is much more under stable. My Vanish flies like 11/5/0/2.5

@justinbutler8418 it's just proton, first run of proton I think. I've only turned it over one time and it was my furthest throw on flat ever at 426'. Generally stable and goes about 360' or so for me though.
