I just bought one about 2 weeks ago. So far I love it. You do need to do a break in the first 25 hours. Not sure if you read that. Don't run it to hard until then. But as far as power in low gear it has no problem at all. Its gets a little warm its so hot outside right now. I got installation im going to line the engine compartment with. It'll help with the heat and noise. It is a little loud. Over all im just as happy with mine as my buddy's mule. Drives just as good. As far as china made goes. You guys realize most everything you buy is made or a part of it is made in China. I don't like it either but it's the world we live in. It is put together in America so we are supporting the Americans that work there.

I just looked at them at Lowe's today and for the money looked pretty decent. The only thing lacking was a decent hitch mount, plus you'd have to get on your hands and knees to get under the dumpbed to get to the cheap reciever. If I was to get one, first thing I'd do is fab a much better hitch setup. More to the rear of dumpbed and stronger being out farther from the rear of the frame instead of being towards the front of dumpbed. More about ease and excess ability for hitching any light load trailer or such. 😉

i have one...have had it since april...its important to follow the break in period..ive been working it every day since i bought it and hasnt let me down yet...the winch has been used as much...its a great machine...it will do 45 mph...but i keep it in low gear.....the bars can be removed from the seat.

I just purchased the 2022 AXIS 500 at Lowe's. The price was very reasonable. I also have a 2013 Coleman Outfitter 500, also manufactured by Hi-sun which I purchased it at Cabela's. I will say this...hard to find any dealer's in my area to work on the machine. Being a do-it-myself er, I found it easy to service and work on it myself, parts are available online. , I expect to do the same with my new purchase. This video might suggest you can carry passengers in the bed but stern warning against it. Lowe's is simply a point of contact, any warranty issues one will have to call the company direct. Very little help from Lowe's except they drove the machine out "front" and I took it from there. I just thought since Lowe's are selling the AXIS 500 they could be more helpful.

I had the same experience with Lowe's in Omaha and found out they didn't even give us the UTV title for it - told us it was ready for pickup - got there and it wouldn't start so we had to come back next day. But they did take $500 off the price so that was worth two trips - we got ours for $6,995 after all said and done in March 2024 - seeing some others are paying quite a bit more in NY and FL! I like it so far, put it to work and winch works well. Axis customer service has been very helpful so far. I feel we made a good decision to buy for a fair price compared to all the other UTV's out there - can't believe how expensive others are.

Mine is a little over 2 years old, the radiator fan switch went out after 2 months. Nearest service was 2 hours away and was told it could take 2 to 3 months before I could get it back from being repaired. He said he had a lot of them in there for repairs. So I had to hot wire the fan switch. Sometimes the gas does not get to the motor and I have problems starting it. I have to take the gas cap off or loosen all the way and eventually its starts. It had a bad rattle in it when I slowed down to about 5 -7 miles per hour (the 3rd mo.). I called the service warranty and was told it was the cargo bed rattling . Been living with the rattle for 2 years now the clutch is smoking . I did more research and found out they have a flaw with the oneway bearing in the clutch and it has to be replaced. All the service companies in my area refuse to work on them. . There is a video on YT on how to repair it (if you are good at that kind of stuff.) . Check out the comments and you will see a lot of ppl having the same problem and no-one will work on them. Other than that it was a good ride.

I looked into the HiSun/Mossimo sxs because it's nice to save money if you can, and these are definitely cheaper to buy. A lot of people were complaining about the low quality and the difficulty getting them serviced. Internal clutch problems, head gasket problems, cooling system problems, and things like that kept coming up over and over by people that had owned them a few years. Also, there was a general feeling that HiSun had poor customer support, was very hard to reach with questions. Apparently the Yamaha Rhino engine can be fitted in and bolted up when the engines fail, but that's $3000+ for a rebuilt engine, and then you've still got a mostly Chinese clone that probably has nowhere near the quality of the original Rhino. I guess some people get a few good years out of them, but I came away feeling like there is a large potential for problems related to longevity. Maybe the newer ones are better?

I've never heard an actual alpha, a real leader of men by personal example, call himself an alpha, or refer to anyone else as a beta. Because they don't have to, and possibly because they think those terms are fake and applying labels where they aren't needed. Know what I mean? Hearing the term beta or alpha, unless referring to canines, has the same effect on me as hearing someone talk about their journey in life, or how they clapped back at someone, or similar vapid terms. Bottom line- I try to buy things that are reliable because I have better things to do than constantly fix things that break prematurely. I owned a VW years ago and was underneath it fixing something on it almost every weekend. Fuck that. Life is too short. That's why I own a Tacoma now. That's also why Chinese SxS clones don't make sense, unless you enjoy spending lots of time and money fixing the things that likely aren't going to break on a Honda Pioneer of the same age for another 5-10 years.

I agree that they are very cheap and they are going to break many parts but if your someone with the knowledge to fix these parts they are very simple things to fix. It's basically a handyman special imo. If you have the ability and resources to tinker with it I'm sure it will be great but if your just buying one of these cheap Chinese ATV/Utvs and expect them to have good reliability your gonna have a bad time.

@@zb7012 Thanks man- most of the Mosimo/HiSun/Coleman SXS for sale on Marketplace here had engine problems, so I got a Rhino660. It was worse than the Chinese model. In 6 months I replaced hoses, battery, solenoid, water pump, 2 crappy starters and a rear CV. Then the Dif Lock started to have issues. I've got a 9 year-old son, 2 houses I'm renovating myself, a tiny house conversion that's almost finished and general projects at my house, rental properties and on my trucks, so time isn't something I have. The Rhino 'fun vehicle' kept needing parts bought and installed, which wasn't fun, so I got a Pioneer. It's Honda reliable, hopefully. If I were in my teens or 20s w a lot more free time, buying an old Rhino or a newer Chinese version to ride and fix up w friends would be a lot more fun. In life, you often reach a point where you want something that is least likely to have problems.

@@jamesb.armstrong5433 Went ahead and bought a UTV last week; Axis 500. It has a receiver adapter but the adaptor is worthless. Supposedly designed to fit inside a standard 2” square hitch bracket but it doesn’t. I ended up buying a 2” mount and drilling a 1” hole in the end and discarding the hisun adaptor. Now you can get a 1-1/4” to 2” adaptor from Harbor Freight that would slide onside the hisun adaptor and allow a std 2” receiver mount to be added. But this becomes awful long and more money. Note that the max tongue weight is 110 lbs. I had to move my boat back on the trailer to meet this limit but don’t feel comfortable since the boat center of gravity is now too close to being “balanced” on the trailer. HiSun needs to beef up the trailer bracket so it can support more tongue weight.

Just bought one and 2 days later the 4WD locked up. I think the rear differential is locked too. Display shows blinking circle on the left diagram front wheels and an ‘X’ on the right diagram. I’ve tried pressing/depressing both the 2wd/4WD and differential lock buttons several times, rolling reverse/ forward up/down slopes and can’t get it to release. Steering very hard to turn. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated..

@@kenkuchnicki9012 I did find a place. In fact there are a couple places within 1 hour's drive. I live in upstate SC and there is a place in Taylors, SC that works on them under warranty. They think the issue was a loose connector but they ordered and replaced the whole servo to be sure. Very friendly and helpful.
