Enjoyed your video after a hard days work! Looks like the ottomans did work today as well! Can't wait to see the rest of the game unfold. Pretty interesting to see it turn into a play by post lol.

Thanks Osiris. I made a couple of big mistakes so I'm going to redo it tomorrow. Don't worry though, I will finish it.

Hey GHG, thanks for making this video! Couple quick items: 1) The German Turn 1 strategy does not call for an attack on Lorraine. The units in Ruhr and Alsace (minus 3 artillery) both move into Belgium. Those three artillery from Alsace move into Switzerland. With rolls, anything can happen. However, statistically 17 units defending at 3 each (there'd be 16 units originally, but I'm assuming the Swiss would kill 1 of them), slightly worse than average rolling would still result in the entire French force from Burgundy being destroyed in a single round should it attack the territory. Assuming average rolling, Germany would inflict 8 casualties total (should France attack Switzerland from both Burgundy and Lorraine). Afterward, Austria would only need to send enough troops from Vienna and/or Trieste to destroy the remaining French units (and any accompanying Italians), while sending the rest into Venice. The result is that Germany has free reign to roam the French countryside on its Turn 2, while simultaneously hitting Picardy (which on average will take 6 casualties itself this turn). 2) Also, it wasn't part of my strategy video but when you commented about attacking Galicia on Turn 1 with Russia I mentioned that should that happen I would indeed sweep in with Germany's forces and counter attack in that territory. How difficult would it be to make these adjustments and then see how the board looks?

Ok I see that now that I've gone back and watched your video.Funny I documented it properly I just moved them wrong. I will redo it tomorrow morning with the changes (that will give me an opportunity to fix the mistake I made down in Ottoman by diverting units to Africa which I never do). Where do you want the German forces to Galacia to come from and how many?
@JonathanMeyer847 жыл бұрын
Sounds good. There are 9 total Russians in Galicia right now, correct? If so, I'll move in every German unit from Prussia and Silesia (should be 12 infantry and 6 artillery total), plus 7 additional infantry from Berlin. That ought to do the trick. The remaining 6 infantry, 3 artillery, and 1 fighter from Berlin will move to Munich as in the original plan.
@primroselane17 жыл бұрын
You don't want any units on Prussia and Selisia despite there are several Russians in Poland?
@JonathanMeyer847 жыл бұрын
I don't think it'll be necessary to have troops in those locations to do what must be done against Russia on Germany's Turn 2. We'll see, though. I may end up eating my words.

I think they are using the Tournament rules, which allow for a double-move when moving into friendly or contested territory from friendly territory. It does speed up the game, and also allows for much more carnage in the early rounds. Also, in my humble opinion, it is very telling by the end of Round 4, as to who is going to probably win. Not always, of course, but often.

Very interesting strategies. At the moment we only follow the rules from the rulebook, so I am not sure if these strategies also work with only 1 territory movement rule. It is certainly worth trying though.

@@andrewthomas9480 I took the map file to the print shop and told them what size I wanted it to be. They can print whatever size you want (within reason because of each shop's limitations on material and equipment). Mine is 42 by 42 inches.

I think alot og general hand grenades probkems could be fix with a factory in munich or ruhr, and make it special, where if the allies take it its destroyed. That way, it doesnt take two turns to get into france from berlin, AND it also makes it a choice that germany has to make: Kill Russia or France? Sidenote, IMHO, america can help alot, but not as much as he makes it out to be. America only gets twenty dollars per turn.
@primroselane17 жыл бұрын
It doesn't take much from America. The game is pretty even if they never enter the war.

Wnat do you think of my suggestion
@primroselane17 жыл бұрын
My apologies i wasn't ignoring your question, I was giving it some thought. Rather than allowing them to have a factory I was thinking that any nation could build one infantry in any originally controlled territory that had a value of more than 1. That way there would still be only one factory but they could spawn infantry, which of course you didn't need a factory for in real life. It doesn't make much sense that your infantry would all be conscripted in your capital. It also doesn't make sense that all of your builds could be done somewhere else on the board.
