SEBI only caught them because of the email from the whistle blower. What if the person had ignored his suspicion and had not sent an email to SEBI and other regulators? If Viresh Joshi (Axis MF dealer) can do this kind of scam then so can other MF dealers that had access to the Bloomberg order system at their residence. I wonder how many dealers did this thing and went without being caught. How can the regulators allow such a things to happen? It went from complete surveillance at office to no surveillance at home. Such carelessness :( The regulators are portraying themselves like they have done a big task by catching them, however it is because of them that such a thing happened in the first place. I dont think there is any need of praising them. All the effort goes to the person who suspected that something wrong had been done with his account. SEBI should reward him as their entire work is based on this persons sole info

Thank you for the insights. This is not justice. This is just one deal that has come out, the while nexus just shows how the industry operates. There would be many more without whistle blower. Justice is not served as people who had invested in these have lost money at behest of those whom people have entrusted their money. They should be stripped of their wealth and penalty should be levied which take into consideration their total ill gotten wealth including the loss to the MF they have caused.

Mam I am a Government employee and a subscriber to nps since 2017, total xirr since 2017 is 6.5%, for current last financial year it is 3.69% , fund managers are LIC, UTI, SBI. The return are very low , lower than savings account interest rate, i feel something is going wrong, can u please look into it

the moment we switch mutual fund due to fund manager doing illegal stuff , not in our control, we have to pay 10% capital gain tax. govt should make mutual fund switches nontaxable. that is the only way we can teach these mutual funds a lesson.
