Not only is the firstborn the most loved, but Axl always needed looking after, as did Sue. Brick looked after himself, rarely getting in trouble or having problems of his own so his parents didn't need to give him as much of their attention because they knew he was fine. Of course, he only developed that way, in part, due to their lack of attention so it's a double-edged sword.
