@@john37585 Sure, he could never teach Brick how to pull any of this of or even how to make him cool, but he could have definitely polished off the worst quirks and habits Brick had and taught him to at least be socially approachable. No one was expecting Brick to turn into Axl, but it would have been nice if he'd helped Brick become less of an outcast. Without completely destroying the Brick character. There's a middle ground there, where Brick is still Brick and Axl is still Axl, but there's just enough wiggle room to squeak in a brotherly teaching moment or two along the way.

I hate group projects with a passion. Even in college when you're assigned group projects there's bound to be at least 1 or 2 slackers. BUT, Axl did they save the presentation here, big time, so I wouldn't mind sharing the credit with him. If this happened in real life though, you'll probably both end up with a failing grade, or at best would have to beg the teacher to give you more time to do the presentation.

Yep, I was like Sue, but with the presentation skills of Axl. I was the top student that everyone anted in their group so they could get an A. I was occasionally chewed out by teachers who asked me to make the others do their part. I would confidently ask the teachers if my grade depended on the others doing their part. If so, I'd rather not have a group. I was the guy with the cute cheerleader as a lab partner in Physics - because she was clueless and had old world parents who expected her to get an A. I was also the guy who was forced to take on a lab partner in 4th year Inorganic Chemistry - who managed to screw up the entire experiment in the 10 seconds I looked away. The professor did believe me though and eventually wrote a paper on my experiment. It took an extra 6 months to purify the results enough to run an x-ray diffraction and prove I was successful in creating a chelated uranium compound. (It would have been much faster to redo the experiment and use the right separating agent.)

This is seriously one of my favorite Axl moments. Not only with how he put his popularity to good use but he helped out Sue. Axl can be lazy, snarky and selfish but he does have a heart and with how he learns and grows as a character, it’s one of the reasons to why he’s one of my favorite characters. Steve, the janitor and others are MVPs In all honesty, I love the look Axl makes (1:17). As if to say, “It’s go time.”

I love Sue's lack of filter w/ all her facial expressions. I knew a girl like that in high school and just loved the daylights out of her. She was so much fun to be around regardless of the situation or mood. I don't think there were any subtleties when it came to her. this honestly happened during a group presentation once. They basically didn't let me do anything because they all assumed I'd just half ass it, or ruin it, but the one in charge of the poster forgot it required drawings for full credit, and it was 2 minutes before presenting. I literally took it from her desk, opened my drawing supplies case, and did all the art with 34 seconds to spare. (they were rough sketches done in fine liner, then colored with the provided markers from the classroom.) I literally pulled 5 visual aid drawings for the poster in record time, while they were still panicking to themselves that they wouldn't get full credit. They didn't even notice until we were presenting that it now hard the art done. (I was the only guy in my group, and they were the self absorbed straight A student types in my group.) Ironically, her friend asked to borrow my how to draw books because our next class required good art in a project, and I was the only one in the class with actual art skills, books, and supplies on hand at the time.
