Hey Axle, I just got new shocks for my 1990 K5 and I having difficulty getting the rear driver's side shock off. With the gas tank in the way, I can't find a way to get a ratchet or wrench back there to take the nut off. I was hoping you could give me a short explanation of how you got that shock off. Thanks, and keep the videos coming there a huge help! - Dan

I just did this myself and I was wondering if that's why Axle doesn't show the driver's side replacement. I was able to get a breaker bar on the nut that is near the gas tank, but I couldnt get any leverage on it. I ended up getting a cutting wheel (Angle grinder) and cut the bolt/nut from the front side and then just punched it out the back. It worked really well.

I just got a little creative with an extension and swivel. Didn't have an issue so I didn't think it was worth showing, especially with the tough video angles. Yes harder than the passenger side, I admit. Thanks for Watching.

Hey I’m looking to replace my shocks. I also have the quad shocks in front. I want better then OEM. Looking at NAPA , Monroe brand. Also my steering stabilizer Excellent video as always I will look at the links provided

Is there a place where i can buy just the bolts? I cant find a shock that comes with the bolts, since my k5 has a 4" lift

Hardware store. When I buy new, I used Grade 8, helps with future rust issues.

Penetrating oil, if not then maybe a little heat.
