A prong chiller are generally not too expensive and work really well!

Oh I just wanted to say, sorry if I came off rude, it’s hard to tell with comments, I was being genuine, just helping. For anyone wanting to buy an axolotl, don’t impulse buy them, they are very hard and delicate. Do a lot of research, because there is a lot of misinformation. So yeah as an Axolotl breeder I just wanted to help correct some things in the other comments. Hope I didn’t come off rude, I just love axolotls! Great video overall!

No problem man! Better to correct now then learn after an axolotl dies!

A lot of fish live to around 10 years too with good care. (Goldfish can even live 15-20 years with proper care)

Just remember with filters, you can’t have large water flow and axolotls hate the water to move a lot.

hi mate, i am thinking of getting an axolotl soon. do you have a pricing range i can look at for all the gear ?
@bravikenaquariums4 жыл бұрын
Hey, Ethan here! including a filter, light, tank, and a chiller for a 20-gallon tank, you're looking at around $60-$80, but the same gear for a 40-gallon tank might run around $100-$120. keep in mind a 20-gallon tank can house one axolotl, while a 40 gallon can house two. Its an initial expense, but once that hill is crossed, its much more rewarding to have a larger tank to put larger decor and more style in the tank. This is not including the axolotl, as Braden and I both bought ours between $40-$70 dollars. Hope this helps!

Water should always be 60-68°F 15-20°C no higher, no lower

Axolotls can stress out and die from light (because they will die from stress, so I would not recommend lights)

Why did your axolotl die from an impaction? there shouldn’t have been gravel in the first place
@bravikenaquariums3 жыл бұрын
Oh, i was saying that axolotls can die from impaction. I haven’t had any of my axolotls die. They are both doing well!

Your axolotl looks extremely unwell.

Yeah, looks like it’s morphing (because it looks like a juvenile salamander, not axolotl) and doesn’t look healthy.
