To clear any confusion in case there is, when I mention "PC" (e.g. 2:18), it stands for pyramidal cell which is the same as pyramidal neuron. PCs are the most prominent type of neuron in the cortex; they are excitatory and carry messages across the central nervous system. Basket cells (BC) and Martinotti cells (MC) that are mentioned later in the video (6:35) are inhibitory interneurons that act more locally to regulate the output of PCs. Let me know if anything else might be confusing!

Hi Tal, wonder if you can help me and my friends? We are affected by psychiatric drugs (SSRI and benzo) and our brains are totally haywired. The brains generate random images non stop, even visual flashback of all memories after we cold turkey the drugs. So far, there are only 3 individuals whose brains generate random images non stop and visual flashback memories after taking the psychiatric psychotropic drugs for mild work anxiety. We are all rendered bedridden with debilitating brain injuries . We hope that you can help. Psychiatrist and neurologists are unable to intervene except prescribe more neurotoxins, or claim its adverse reactions or neurons excitability. You may not be able to help us but at least help us understand why would the psychotropic drugs lead to the total mutation of the brain. We are prepared to pledge our brains for research in the event of our deaths. It is very dismal and serious. Hope to hear from you soon. This will be good research material for you.
