I love how fishing stuff is what was used to innovate. I got all this stuff😊

Congratulations on your nice setup. I started with a small axworthy run last year and extended it for 2011. As you said, it takes lots of trial and error, so I know and appreciate the time and effort you put into this project. I built my own lightweight ghost and used kite line around clothesline pulleys driven by a kitchen stand mixer (torque is so important) attached with a toothed belt to a bike wheel - - - and it worked, Amen! (Hung foamboard over my motor assembly to shield it)

Thank you so much for this video. It was the first I found that actually really explained this setup. You did a nice job with the video and commentary ! Thanks Again !

I know this is an old video but I appreciate your detailed explanations on the motor and pulley system. Your lucky you got a free motor, they're not cheap.

Good job on the vid. The flying ghost is one of my favorites but mine falls off every so often making it the most work out of all my props.

Also, I attached a second line lower down on the ghost and to the kite line trailing behind the main connection from the ghosts head. This keeps the ghost from spinning as it travels along. Keeps a more natural flight with my design but your green ghosts are certainly creepy no matter what position they're in. Just a little detail for you consideration. Again, congrats and mastering this prop!

and the bike wheels are 8" in diameter -- check with local bike store -- got mine for $1 each. The primary bike wheel is 15" in diameter. the store owner was happy to sell them especially when he had a pile of them to get rid of.

yes yes and I need to make something special for the neighborhood kiddos in 2020.

Nice! Looks like the only way you'll cover the motor is if you invert it. Also, you could possibly ditch the two wheel setup and just have a single larger wheel (like a mountain bike wheel?) at that fourth post. Damn, stringing that 20' one had to be a pita....

Very nice!

for next year, i have a few changes i would like to do, including how to best attach ghosts to the line. spinning is ok, but having them move in the same direction is more desireable. I want to change the motor mount to be on the same main drive wheel strut.

the motor is 1/4 HP running at 1725 RPM.

nice. I just bought a similar motor. 1/4 horse @ 1725 RPM. You weren't able to do direct drive to the motor?

Do you have more detailed specs on the motor and the bike wheels?

Dude, does that bike wheel have a friggin' disc brake on it?
