I am a caucasian woman and I will address the taking offense silencing others mechanism up front when it is needed to be addressed, I have three caveats in entering conversations that tend to be 'passionate' or a topic where the polarity is frequently weaponized as dualistic: 1. We agreed to maintain a respectful conversation if it degrades to an argument it ends, 2. We are here to hear the other out not convert one another, 3. We maintain a sense of dignity for ourself and the other, the conversation never degrades to insulting the other as inferior in any way... I rank 'religions' by the spectrum of being offended they operate from (this includes secular cult concepts) where it is observable that 'being offended' is weaponized or that the practice of 'if I am offended I am correct' that is designed to shut down conversation The immigration process (especially for a country striving to maintain democratic values) needs vetting of compatible values between the migrant to the community that is receiving the migrant and there should be a clear orientation process to the new citizen to ensure they are received well and do not feel abandoned or segregated

Brave, intellectual and articulate women. I love the book Infidel! I'm sure there are millions more that support you two but are worried about being labeled Islamophobic, but the fight for basic human rights for women is what unites us above all else. So they support you behind the scenes. This fight may be deemed small but it is a rewarding one and one growing in numbers across the world. No more silencing women's voices. Please put out more documentaries on large wide reach platforms like prime or netflix. Also waiting for a national tour with these ladies speaking to colleges or at academic institutions. We have to spread this through knowledge and awareness before more vulnerable people are brainwashed or converted via false extremist propaganda.

I have just finished watching this video on January 8, 2024, pondering its content against the backdrop of public protests in support of Gaza’s torturous and extremely misogynistic attacks in Israel which it committed on October 7, 2023. The university protests are particularly sinister. This video was posted in May 2022. I wonder whether the Critical Thinking Fellowship program is still functioning or whether it has been shouted down.

Yes! 👏 Instead of allowing Europeans to come to Canada/Mexico and what is now known as the US they should have implemented your philosophy of NO immigrants. Imagine if Europeans stayed in their own land & were not permitted to infiltrate the Americas! None of the many wars, the mass destruction of land/water/animals/people & cultures, all the genocides & monopolies on resources that they commit(ed) wouldn’t have transpired in the Americas. 😮

I have a question to Ayaan on why she thinks teaching kids about sexual orientation by teachers is not okay?
@burleybater
@burleybater 2 жыл бұрын
If you had been following this issue over the past few years you'd know that much of this teaching is aimed at increasingly younger and younger children. Which raises a clear and distinct question, not only with the children's parents in mind, but by society as a whole - just how age-inappropriate is this? I don't know about you, but I was allowed to grow up to and through puberty with almost no invasive information about sexuality. It all came in due course, when I was ready for it. Either we believe that childhood still requires a maintained social state of innocence, or we do not. I find it entirely suspect that a growing segment of society doesn't believe that this matters - albeit, by increasing numbers of adults who are childless and may remain so. "Sexual orientation" has been made to appear like a cozy, cuddly, harmless, human, lovely and wonderful rainbowed field of unicorns. It is nothing of the sort. It has been warped into a minefield in a kid's life full of dysphoria, confusion, anxiety, anger and misery - none of which has to be there, because this is decidedly NOT for the benefit of the kids. It is top-down adult-driven, for the benefit of certain special interests, all pretending that the motives are nothing but kindness and peace. Let me repeat: this benefits the adults who push the ideology, not the kids who are exposed to it. This policy is pushed by people who pride themselves on being inclusive, open-armed to immigrant groups, all ethnicities (other than white, perhaps?) and supportive of diversity. Apparently no-one bothered to take into account that many if not most of these ethnic groups and communities are enormously committed to traditional family values. Men and women are fathers and mothers. Their offspring are boys and girls. Those boys and girls will grow up into fathers and mothers themselves. Any sexual designation outside of this is met with hostility and suspicion. The otherwise relatively tiny minority of homosexuality and lesbianism is met with according to however tolerant these cultures wish to be about the matter. It is for them to decide, to come to grips with, and not for some overbearing social policy tidal wave to come rolling through their children's educational processes. So how do you think they feel about the idea of their kids as young as kindergarten being subjected to hyper-sexualized information? I ask this question rhetorically. The elephant hiding in the corner of the room is that certain political movements believe that these immigrant people do not matter. They are just too incorrect. Or old-fashioned. Even though they claim to support "diversity" and "inclusion." This is a farce, a joke, and a bald-faced lie. Yes, they and their concerns should matter, very much. But it is their opposition that makes progressive people uncomfortable. As well it should. And by the way, I only express a small number of the possible arguments here. By no means do I cover the complete scope of the issue. That could take a book, and I haven't the time, at the moment. Very short answer to the question: Most teachers are absolutely not equipped to take on this task, and especially with children so young. Feisty senior grade high schoolers who know how to push back? That's a different matter. So because Ms. Ali would not answer your question directly (this rarely happens in youtube commentary) I took the liberty of addressing it myself.

What the hell are you talking about "Muslims majority countries" and the so-called "free? West" ????? Whilst the "freedom" of the collective West is highly dubious (go tell Julian Assange how free the West is), the West is few and far between when it comes to "Muslim majority countries" as most of the world is neither the conventional "West" nor "Muslim majority". However, be advised if wanting to elevate the West to heroic proportions just who the sponsors are of the Saudi regime, and Bahrain, and other Sharia regimes, needless to say anti-secular terrorists in Syria and other countries.
