Thank you so much for being beautiful and brave to tell the truth. As a Jewish woman who lost family in Shoah, and is still looking for what happened to them, Oct.7th was extremely painful. But what was worse was seeing progressive women, and feminists, in my country and other countries, side with Hamas and are showing who they are as haters. I don't have any hate for Muslims, or Palestinians, ( I am with you about civilians being killed), but when I read that 75% of Palestinians are supporting Hamas, and support what they did on Oct.7th, they make themselves my enemy because they would kill me. I have been to Egypt twice(the library in Alexandria is truly amazing for someone who worked in the library), and was so hopeful for the Arab Spring. And so disappointed at how it ended. I do condemn Hamas killing innocent civilians in Israel but the story is not that clear cut. Do you condemn what your Zionist and evil leaders have been doing to Palestinians in the last 76 years and in particular the last ten months. Don’t hear any outrage from any of you here. Why is that I wonder? All human life is sacred not just Jewish life. The chosen people belief has blinded many to the suffering of others. If killing 1200 people is terrorism what do you say to the massacre of perhaps close to 200,000 people? Surely terrorism would be a euphemism.

Islam has become extremely radicalized over the last 50 years especially. I agree that much of this is directly attributable to direct funding by Saudi Arabia. This is turn occurred because the British decided to strategically maneuver the House of Saud into power in the Arabian peninsula. The main issue is that house were followers of Wahhabism, which historically had a small following among Arabs. The British felt that promoting a minor house would make them more dependent on British support and keep the various houses warring with each other. Then they got oil money which totally messed everything up.

As an Israeli, I went to watch this video becouse when I saw in the thumbnail of the video Dalia's lighting face and the clear goodness at her eyes, I immediately knew that this woman had something sincere and important to say, and I was interested in listening to her and I already guessed something about the nature of her motivations. So allready before watching the video, I believed with a high degree of probability that this woman motivation came from a good heart and reason and a search for truth. This was said to all those who claim to themselves and others that she is working for Israel or something like that. A person who recognizes the goodness in the other person will understand her motivations better. Dahlia is a special soul and a special individuality. She is wise and knows how to explain her words and conduct a really high-quality modest and moderate conversation. Much appreciation to her, and her courage. It's sad that in Egypt they didn't want to listen to someone as gifted as her. In my opnion , a woman like her not only does not betray her country, but she is a treasure that strengthens the spirit and enriches her society. Egypt will benefit a lot from people like her. Very much. Hope that many Egyptians will wake up from the wrong view of her words and also for the truth and what happened on November 7th. Thank you both ladies. I am a Christian 2nd generation Canadian, and I am unfortunately married to a now radical muslim Afghan man and we have nine beautiful children. My husband said he was Christian when we married, but very shortly after became very devoutly Muslim. I started to study Islam, and was absolutely horrified. Our marriage had been a cold war for about 11 years. But then our children became old enough to reason, and my husband refused to acknowledge their freedom of religion, and I have had to actively war to protect them. It is heartbreaking, and mind warping evil. Now, equipped with facts, I am no longer scared, and try to be as strong in my heart and faith as I can. I truly agree with the idea, sadly, that Islam is fundamentally incompatible with any free and morally stable society. I pray that all sincerely good seeking Muslims will research about Muhammad and the Hadiths, and abandon Islam altogether. I pray that the peaceful will seek the only fundamentally peaceful religion, Christianity. 🙏

I hope Dalia is safe and sound, she is very brave. It's sad that the mentality of most people in the Middle East is so retarded, I think the main reason besides tribalism is also the fault of the Islamist movement, especially the Muslim Brotherhood. I hope that will change in a few generations.

I don't understand why she's wearing the Hijab. Girls and women in Iran, Afganistan and other Arab countries are literally DYING because of this piece of cloth!
@wade2bosh9 ай бұрын
and u are attacking her individual freedoms.
@happydillpickle9 ай бұрын
She has her reasons. She's an incredibly brave, outspoken heroine of women's rights and of human rights in general. She's risking her life simply by opening her mouth. She is the voice of the voiceless. She's the voice of those women who can't take their hijabs off no matter how much they want to and she's the voice of those who aren't brave enough to speak out. She's incredible. I think also that perhaps hijabis who wouldn't want to listen to ex Muslims are more likely to stop and listen to her, due to her appearance, than they would if she presented as a Western style woman. Remember how defensive so many western Muslimahs are about their right to wear hijab, to the point they forget the struggle of those who don't have the choice: maybe they'll listen to her and open their hearts, find a new perspective. Don't forget that the Arab media doesn't give the information that she's giving. Why would Muslimahs stop to listen to a non hijabi? Think about the people she is able to reach who wouldn't listen if she was uncovered. Think about the women she is giving permission to feel out loud what they're already feeling, to talk amongst themselves. I don't know, I think it's a good thing. If she wants to take it off I'm sure she will. It's actually no one's business but her own. I get what you're saying but we hear a lot from ex Muslimahs, but Muslimahs aren't being given permission to speak out, as Muslimahs, but she is giving them permission: she's paving the way. And that's why she is considered to be so dangerous to the point her life is being threatened. That's how I see it. It's a gradual process. There's nothing wrong with wearing a hat or a scarf as a garment: it's the enforcement that's the problem, the symbolism, the sexualisation. The idea of woman as half-brained seductress, as temptress and man as all powerful yet powerless yet intelligent, yet helpless predator. She's showing her mental ability, through the power of her words, of her intellect, and I don't think it matters whether she wears a head covering or not at this stage, but I do think there's a very good reason she's wearing it. It's got to be about religious freedom at the end of the day: the choice to or not to, and she's fighting her battles her way. She's fighting for all women. I think she needs appreciation, not criticism. I don't think a woman needs to conform to anyone's expectations, to be powerful, to help achieve true equality and freedom for all women and all humans. That ended up a bit of an essay!

@@happydillpickleI agree with you. I like the way you explained why Dalia is wearing it. She receives more respect this way. There is nothing wrong with a headscarf/hijab!! It’s the burqa which I find so oppressive and offensive. I feel it’s punishing the woman for the man’s supposed inability to control his lust. So the woman pays the price. There is no responsibility or accountability on the man’s part.

I think Dalia needs to take some time and read the Quran while applying some critical thinking, because that caller asked her about something that's in the Quran and clearly she has never read or seen what he was asking about.... Read read read and she will see why the caller asked her that question.

God bless her, she presents, a positive, non extremist version of Islamic belief, and we need more people like, her. If we had more people like her the image of Islam internationally would be much more positive. As for change, think it will happen but it will take time. All religions have changed over time, and Islam can change for the better, too.
