Dunno about abyss, and sadly, Ayaka hasn’t come home for me yet, but Ganyu is one of my favorite characters to use in exploration. Ganyu is so useful to farm meat and fowl. Ever since I got her I have never come close to running out of either. Her, Zhongli, and Kazuha have been the three most game changing characters for me with regard to exploration.

I use Ayaka for 2 reasons: Her DPS is amazing, she's the only dps I have that can compare to my Xiao and she's currently only level 70/70. Her charged attack is absolutely badass and I'm a huge DMC nerd so I love that she basically does a mini Judgement Cut. 2. I don't have Ganyu. My only bow DPS are Childe and Fischl

I recently decided to try out melt ganyu(previously I used her in a freeze comp) and it is veeeeery fun. It's way more engaging IMO. Those who have ganyu don't need to pull for ayaka unless you just like the character.

I got both so I don’t know what to tell anyone. I’ve played with them for a long time and honestly it depends on how you build them. I would tell you to pull for Ganyu but Ayaka is also very impressive. So in the end, you have to test them out and see how you like them. :)

For me, who has both, the answer is obvious: Eula =) I do like Ganyu, though. She's great for the outworld, and also for fights that favor having a ranged in the party. But at other times, when hits interrupt her, she's annoying to use, forcing you into a shielder, which has gaps in the coverage unless you use Zhongli, which I don't. Ayaka I haven't really used enough to form an opinion on, beyond that I hate her sprint. That's why I'm going to put her on a team with Mona, so I can hate on both their sprints at the same time. But I mostly wanted her to be support/sub-dps for pyro characters.

I know you can do crazy damage as a whale but for f2p and low spenders, Ganyu with any weapon is super easy to get crazy dps for bc we don't have all the 5 star weapons and we don't have all c 6 characters to get crazy damage for all our characters. I personally like Ayaka more bc she's more fun but as a low spender who owns both of them, Ganyu clearly does a lot more dps than Ayaka with the same investment. I have both level 80 888 battle pass weapon and same artifacts at c0. I think this video is more for the whales than light spenders

Ganyu is probably the most free to play friendly character in the game. She doesn't need great artifact rolls, crescent is her second best weapon and it's craftable. And you can essentially find a use for her in pretty much any team including as a support. Even a bargain bin ganyu is going to breeze through most content solo where other DPS at the highest end with good teams can do more damage, but at that point it's just comparing guns and seeing which one leaves the bigger hole.

Reverse melt is so underrated imho. Due to RNGesus, my wanderer EM reach 279 and she does more dmg than actual melt. Teamed with xiangling, she easily does 45k on crit. Without Amos of course.

One kinda big thing you skipped over is their consistency vs shields. Ayaka is phenomenal burning through shields, covering both Hydro and Electro, and outright hard conters Abyss Heralds.

As a lazy player who login and wanna logout immediately, Ganyu helps a lot. It only took few minutes to clear the commissions and used up all the resin. Also kills the bird easily!

Honestly both of them are good though I prefer Ganyu rather than Ayaka because Ganyu can just deal big damage just by charged shots and ayaka requires focus on rotating skills, auto and charged attacks and to get even more dps on Ayaka you have to cancel her animations but if you mess up once you're going to lose dps pretty much a double edge sword.

Both Rust and Favonius are terrible for Ganyu. The craftable Prototype Crescent is her best F2P weapon. Pull for the character you like, playstyle and aesthetic wise. Both characters are strong enough to comfortably clear the Abyss. And both characters are pretty futureproof. Also, both Ganyu and Ayaka are Cryo DPS's so it's not a good idea to go for both unless you have the monetary resources. Generally you want your DPS's to belong to different elements so they can tackle different types of content.

I've been lucky enough to have both, and I agree with your point: both of them are good, even tho personally I like Ayaka more because I have more fun using her. My Fischl might have finally found her main dps to support, but I still have to get some better gear for Ayaka. My final answer is 40 enemies in total, 15 in YTUpcoming's video and 25 here. There's one I'm not counting for technical reasons.

Both are good.. it’s just depends on how people enjoy the game.. some people prefer bow user characters.. and some people like to use sword and claymore characters (like me).. Also Ayaka is so fun to play.. having good combo with my Kazuha too..

Ganyu shoots nukes. Been waiting for Ayaka and pulled her but she ain’t Ganyu good. Ayaka’s burst is better but it’s tough to beat a nuke turret.

@@Fin504 have all the chars in the game n no it depends on situations after testing multiple times hu tao is the best single target dps and for aoe ayaka is good but is outperformed by melt ganyu n xiao...xiao is literally a machine against aoe enemies

i kinda feel the opposite about ayaka and ganyu ayaka feels like she'd be so fun to explore inazuma with because of her dash(which i love)and very fast cryo appliance with all the rain. ganyu instead, without c6, waiting for her shot to charge up is a bit of a pain, I also use Ganyu as a hybrid support/dps because I got skyward and not amos, so Im not hitting for like 38k on bloom, more like 20k. I got ganyu for her dmg/team synergy with my charas and not exploration instead. For me the most fun part of Ayaka is her dash

Also realize we are getting a free 5 star cryo bow user coming out. So if you care about having an all around account and not just similar character roaster that is something to consider.

The amount of enemies that were visibly killed I counted was 15 ytup + 25 tenha (40 in total)

This video was very informative as well. For the Giveaway I counted: Tenha - 26 Enemies killed Ytupcoming- 15 On-screen enemies killed. The point of confusion is will you guys count the first daily quest he did. It listed 11 enemies and he beat them so technically it's 22. Total between both On-Screen: 41 Total Between both Off-Screen: 48. Hopefully I can win something. The videos were fun.

I know there was more than 15 monster in the video of ytupcoming and some were edited out so the monster that was killed in this video is 15. I don't know if the first form of childe counts in this vid so I won't count it. There were 25 monsters that were killed in this vid so my total count is 40 for both vid.

Getting Ayaka has let me push to 35 stars in abyss for the first time (and that was with a scuffed build using prototype rancour). I should be able to get to 36 stars soon after I level her talents and get her a better weapon (and also optimize the strategy for chamber 3).
