@MCCLITTY Yeah there's a quest you need to do before being able to fish called "Exploding Population" I took this quest dialogue from the wiki, here you can see them explaining about ornamental fish: Nantuck: Wow- That's amazing! Do you know what this is? It's an "ornamental fish"! Nantuck: You might not know this, but even fish from the same species can have huge differences between individuals because of differences in living environment and food. Nantuck: Even though they all look the same, some individuals are particularly active and energetic. They jump out of the water from time to time and are very eye-catching. Made my f2p account 1st of November. The game feels so much fun using what little characters you have you'd otherwise ignore. Carefully planning who to save and pull for is so exciting, too. My main account is for characters I like while this f2p account will be meta characters only. I pulled for Kuki during that banner and rushed to get Dendro Traveler. Having a hyperbloom team that early was crazy fun.

Main account is I guess a dolphin? If you can call it that, welkin moon fairly regularly and maybe 8 BP since I started playing. I have a TON of F2P alt accounts though and I get a kick out of staggering my pulls on them so they all have different 5 stars that I can build and play, then I decide what I want on my main account based on that and save pulls there. For me the mix of my dolphin account (playing since patch 1.3) and all my f2p accounts keeps me entertained best, when I get bored on my main account I lvl/build an alt account for a while and have fun playing different teams to my main.

I started a new account recently to help a friend who is new to the game with co-op. I will say that the story and plot giveaways make more sense when viewed all together, rather than spread out over years.

"I wanted to try other playstyles" and then his wishlist and pulls are mostly meta units and archons. Okay, I'm just joking around, I also pull for archons and good characters on my f2p. I also have a lucky f2p account while being a mostly welkin-only (I've topped up 4 times in 4 years) on my main. I think the most inaccurate idea that whales have is that f2ps almost don't have 5*s or good weapons just because they pull less, and they can't afford even low cons. It is the case at the beginning, and it's harder to farm primos for sure since you gotta sit down and do a lot of content. But any f2p account eventually can get goated with several amazing teams, and at that point unless you want a million characters, you can indulge on maybe a C1-C2 of a fave in reruns, maybe even a BiS weapon if you get lucky/do some sacrifices (only recommend weapon banner if both weapons are good for your account, be it a f2p or a welkin-only.) My f2pbtw bastard account has C2 Raiden, C1R1 Neuvi, C1 Hu Tao, C1s for the broken 5* support trio (Kazuha, Furina, Xilonen), and plenty of both must-pull and non-meta 5*s at C0 after 3 years and a half. Sure, some f2p accounts (especially for whales) go for 4* DPS/weapons only to have a challenge, but that's not your average f2p experience. There's all kinds of players. A lot are neither like me or the content creators' alts. I think the secret for handling two accounts is 1. play Support Impact always because you will be ready for new teams, 2. don't rush to do all new content at the same time in both or you'll get burnout, 3. not doing the same characters and teams in both. I try to pull for different characters in my accounts except for the universal supports, sub-DPSs I really like, and archons. Same logic as you picking Keqing. Having other mains keeps things fresh! And it helps your main account too, because you can skip characters you're going for on the other account. If there's two new characters on the update I want to pull for, I split them (i.e, Ayato on main and Yelan on f2p, Wrio on main and Neuvi on f2p, Alhaitham on main and Clorinde on f2p (didn't get either lol), etc.) At first, f2pbtw bastard was the experimental account where I'd pull when I wasn't sure, try 4*s I never tried, or different builds from main like crit Kazuha and onfield Nahida. With time, things turned around. My main account tends to get more fun playstyle characters and horizontal investment before meta now. Meanwhile, f2pbtw bastard ended up with top tier meta units in limited vertical investment. Now with Mavuika, I plan to build her as sub-DPS E reaction bot on main (too many pyro DPS, I love my Arle too much, etc.) and hypercarry DPS as intended on secondary. Not even my standard 5* weapons are the same! f2p gets all the WGS and LPttSW while main gets all the PJWS, and it drives me crazy I can't exchange them around!

As a free to play im doing 100% area as well and 3 months in im still in inazuma collect keys cause i do story quest and hang outs and im following a guide on Google sheets that has everything in order like a timeline from 1.0 to now so i do watch past events that have been removed, i should be in fountaine in 2 or 3 months idk, honkai star rail lets you do past events and shows a timeline which makes it comfortable to follow game is fun though i need to upgrade my phone 64gb won't hold genshin Impact for long

I recently started a f2p genshin account with the challenge to 100% each sub-region (aka only the parts I can see when I unlock a statue, before I go and open a new statue). Additionally, I can only wish with blue fates and all primos I earn organically will go toward a c6 Venti (for the memes and he's my fave). The reason I did this? I have 100% exploration on my main, and my 2nd account (which was really my first account) has an overwhelming backlog of quests that I don't know where to start. I'm playing this account VERY casually, and since I'm not wishing on limited banners I don't feel rushed to grind. It's nice.

I started my first account in 2.6 (EU) im a minnow so do spend a little if i can afford it. As i finished Sumeru I was taking ot a few of my US friends that wanted to start playing genshin, So i started a new account totally F2P and the nostalga hit on the opening scene, there just something about that first look at Mondstad in that long distance shot. Most of my teams were built over reactions. The F2P experience really does feel differnet but the rewards are made al the sweeter. my team on my F2P(NA account) is curently Alhaitham, Baizhu, Xingqui and Raiden and unlike my EU account I found mysef being more sclecting in how I leveled up characters and weapons.

Classic tap kachina skill then start climbing ^^ About fish bowls: easily spotable, they are the ones jumping out of the water be4 you catch them Also they are harder to catch then regular Oh ye, first accention on f2p should be automatic for every new character you get, once you are in late game with 2 or 3 built teams might as well do lvl 70 accention on everyone. This will unlock all fates and make it easier to build a new character you want to try. You might just slap artifacts and weapons you have on them cos vs most enemies lvl 70 will not be one shot and see if you like their playstile, then upgrade talents to 6 and lvl tp accended 80 and test them vs bosses, if you still like them its talent/artifact/weapon(if not allready lvl 90) grind till you are satisfied (lvl 8/9/10 talents, lvl 90 if needed)

Whenever I play a jRPG like Earthbound and start to get to the end, there's always a kind of hollow feeling I feel. No new skills to look forward to, maybe some equipment to look forward to. (Final Fantasy 4 and 5 were pretty good at making the final weapons exciting and late enough in the game to keep you looking forward to them.) Having nothing to look forward to or desire just means the game's 'complete'. I could never understand whales paying to have less fun. I can understand the $5 a month subscription approach however. (Really do think it's lame of Genshin to lock its five star weapons behind the gacha. It would have felt really cool to work on those over multiple months for one of the things...)
